Hitler Wouldn’t Risk Doomsday, But The United States Did  – Daniel Ellsberg on RAI (2/13) – Everything Law and Order Blog

Hitler ended the German nuclear weapons program in 1942 when told it could end life on Earth—the Americans were willing to take the risk; since the end of WWII the Cold War was to a very large extent, from beginning to end, a marketing campaign for subsidization of the aerospace industry, says Daniel Ellsberg on Reality Asserts Itself with Paul Jay

  1. Lets all just be nice and stop being aggressive, and everything will be fine, hold on, what if everyone does not agree to that policy. the west should get rid of all its nuclear weapons, and of course as soon as it does countries like Russia will say thankyou and go back to being the none aggressive lovely people they always have been.

  2. The Germans stopped their program because the US had diligently executed a strategy of cutting off every critical material. Supply that the Germans needed to build the bomb.. the Germans spent about a million on their program.. The US spent 2 billion… From a monetary and a material and personnel resource perspective It was not feasible for Germany to attain the bomb.. They were still using University Labs while the Americans have built custom dedicated facilities with state-of-the-art equipment.. bomber command would have wrist losing every plane in the fleet destroy any nuclear facility…

  3. I learned all this information regarding the Japanese and American war in a museum in 2001 in Singapore. It is exactly as Mr. Ellsberg explained so I’m a little confused this interview is in 2018. Does that means we as in regular American people only learn about these facts in 2018?

  4. Yeah…basically we were holding out for the Japanese emperor to admit that he wasn't a divine incarnation. He was willing to surrender but not to surrender his brand facade of "divinity" to the Japanese people. Because of that, we committed the very worst sin upon all of human history – unleashing the age of nuclear weapons and a never-ending arms war and buildup upon the world, even though our Generals KNEW that the war was essentially OVER! Once the Japanese got word that the Soviet armies were marching toward them in full force, and with all their supplies, resources, and infantry…gone, they were on the precipice of surrender. Yet, my mother, a teenager when the war ended, believed and adamantly defended through the rest of her life, what she was told: that Truman ended the war definitively by dropping nukes on Japan, thus saving millions of lives. Even at age 14, in 1963, I knew there was something fundamentally wrong with that fairy tale!

  5. The one thing capitalists fear the most is Communism. Under Communism, wealth is more equally distributed, and that scares the hell out of them. I think that's why they kept the cold war going — it was a way to demonize the communists so that U.S. citizens would never get the idea to try that kind of economic system. Of course the American people fell for it, hook, line, and sinker. Americans are so gullible, they fall for every trick con artists throw at them — that's why Trump is president.

  6. As we all should be aware here. Nazism & Bolshevism were both orchestrated. The Bolsheviks uprising was a construct of the Rothschild family, the records tell us this.. The Principalities of Europe , after seeing their Russian relatives, slaughtered, had to secure themselves, didn't they. (Rothschild's, sell weapons, to both sides. WINNING!) Germany = Christianity. Bolshevism =Murderous Zionism. The real reason, Hitler went East, when he did, was to stop an invasion from the East (Russia). Hitler could of Destroyed the allies, on the beach's of Dunkirk in France,, 1940 . He sent a peace envoy, Rudolph Hess, He was locked up, 6 letter's from Hitler sent to, Churchill, not wanting war, stating to the effect, "that we are brother's" and, that, " We, have a greater enemy, the Bolsheviks!" Now, here, he is, dismantling the pursuit of a Nuclear weapons program in 42. Even the fire bombing of Hamburg in 43, 40 Thousand plus civilians burnt alive! Dresden in 1945 up to 135 Thousand plus civilians, were burnt alive. Even this disgrace, this genocide, and it is nothing less! Didn't make him re-instate it. YET AMERICA used it, NOT ONCE, BUT TWICE! Again, against primarily civilian targets . Nagasaki, coincidentally, was the largest Christian city, in Japan! (BTW; I don't believe in coincidence).. Forget not, the victors of war , write the history!.

  7. How stupid if Hitler had atomic bombs he would have used them as it was his belief to win at any cost. So you can shove these theories. He would have used them on England with his V2 Rocket.

  8. The US demonized the Soviets to justify the Cold War. And anticipating the Cold War was the context by which they decided to nuke Japan. But the US attitude can also shed light on Europe at the end of the war. The Marshall Plan would not have come about were it not for the perceived (or concocted) threat of Communism. The tensions in Europe were not just about Berlin. Western Europe has been occupied by US forces since WWII. NATO is part of American hegemony. The argument, put forth by Stalin, that the Eastern block was necessary as a buffer against Western expansionism, may well be taken legitimately at face value. Funding the MIC goes along with American globalist designs.

  9. The nazis and Hitler in particular were very suspicious that the theoretical basis of a nuclear weapon was based on “Jewish physics”, in particular that special relativity was used to predict the enormous energy released by the fission of U-235 which was approximately 200Mev per atom. The nuclear weapon development was headed by some very bright people including Werner Heisenberg, and Otto Hahn. One of their early experiments to sustain a nuclear chain reaction actually went critical but resulted in a big fire and a ruined laboratory. The Nazi leadership interpreted this as failure and began reducing the funding and priority of the program. The German program was also hampered by the lack of a cyclotron in Germany. At the time there only two on the planet, one at Paris and another at Berkeley, California. As a result they were not aware of Pu-239, another fissionable isotope that was easier to produce than enriched uranium. Their isotope separation program was a failure in spite of having been the first to try centrifuge separation and also UF6 uranium hexafluoride gas diffusion. German theoretical physicists underestimated the thermal neutron scattering by graphite by a factor of two-so that common material could not be used to control a nuclear pile. And it made the German nuke program solely reliant upon heavy water as a neutron moderator. There was only one supply in the world from a Norwegian hydroelectric plant. The allies made sure that this plant was destroyed and stayed destroyed. It was said that Heisenberg was a great physicist but not a good one.

  10. Risk? Hitler aside, the present and future generations should sue United States Govt. for the devastation of the world and children …
