Why is it that the left/progressive/socialist parties are always the ones these days being called "corrupt," when it is right-wing parties who are more likely to engage in wanting to personally profit from public office. The right parties even say that they want to privatize everything so that they can make money off of it. Yet, it's only the left parties these days that get accused of "corruption." Why does no one say that it is the left/socialist parties who are less likely to be "corrupt" than the right-wing parties? And unfortunately, I think that in the public mind the word "corrupt" has come to mean nothing more than "bad," with no more specific meaning than that.

    The problem is the few, wealthy families that are in control of everything, strangle the market to protect their monopolies. Starting a business in Brazil is incredibly difficult. So, you ask, "why don't people just boycott the products of the monopolies?". Well, unfortunately, the monopoly families sell stuff to the stupid class of people here in Brazil. This is a HUGE class of people. They are too stupid to do anything other than drink their monopoly beer, use their monopoly phone, eat their monopoly food, all while watching their monopoly TV shows. All state sanctioned products, of course.
