Knoxville, Tennessee — On December 24, 2023, at around 5:20 a.m., Knoxville Police Officer Caleb Bailey was dispatched to the area of Lakeside Street and Ace Miller Way. It was reported that the occupant of a silver sedan had fired shots at nearby residences, crashed into a Chilhowee Park fence on Lakeside Street, and ran from the car. Bailey quickly arrived on scene and encountered the male subject, later identified as 38-year-old Leroy Brooks, on Lakeside Street.
After being confronted, Brooks fired at Bailey, and Bailey returned fire. Brooks then ran into the woods off of Lakeside. Nobody was struck or injured in the exchange of gunfire. After an extensive search, Brooks was found unresponsive in the woods. Responding officers administered Narcan to Brooks, who then regained consciousness and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. After his release from the hospital and upon continued investigation, Brooks was charged with attempted first-degree murder, multiple firearm offenses and reckless endangerment.

The Knoxville Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Chief David Rausch of the Knoxville Police Department (KPD) announce the arrest of *Leroy Brooks*. At approximately 11:15 this morning, Brooks, age 26, of Knoxville, Tennessee, was arrested by members of the FBI’s Safe Streets Task Force (which consists of personnel from the FBI, KPD, and KCSO) and the KPD Major Crimes Unit. Brooks is facing federal charges for bank robbery. He is suspected of robbing the First Tennessee Bank located at 3900 Western Avenue, Knoxville, Tennessee on December 5, 2011. This matter was a joint investigation of the FBI Safe Streets Task Force and KPD.
Too bad they found him in time.

Back in my addiction there was 3 seperate times where I was, I guess you can say, "Wasn't Myself." As if it was like "Auto-Pilot," Walking, Talking and doing stuff that I honestly was definitely not Conscious for while under the influence. I mean this could of even been me for all I know at one of those moments in time. Completely BLACKEDOUT, yet I wasn't Consciously there and absolutely scared the crap out of me when I "Came Back," like what in the F*** did I do for those times. Last one lasted two day's and when I came too I almost got fired from my job, I completely embarrassed myself in front of the whole store and almost accidentally cut my fingers off on the Deli's Slicer. Drug's at the time was FENTANYL, COCAINE and XANAX. I'm just glad I'm alive and didn't end up in one of these video's.
