Sacramento Police Department released 2 body cameras and 2 dash cams of Officer Involved Shooting on Saturday, April 11, 2020– 7400 Block of West Stockton Boulevard.
Sacramento Police Department detectives are in the early stages of investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred on April 11, 2020. During the incident an armed suspect fired upon officers after they attempted an enforcement stop.
At approximately 3:38 p.m., the Sacramento Police Department was notified by the Marysville Police Department to be on the lookout for a suspect wanted for attempted homicide with a firearm. At approximately 4:38 p.m., Sacramento Police Department officers located the male adult suspect in a vehicle. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle in the 7400 block of West Stockton Boulevard when the suspect opened the driver’s side door and exchanged gunfire with officers. The suspect was injured as a result.
Officers safely detained the suspect and began to render medical aid. Sacramento Fire Department personnel arrived and transported the suspect to a local hospital. The suspect is currently listed in stable condition. No officers were injured during the shooting. The suspect’s firearm was recovered on scene.
This incident is being investigated by the Sacramento Police Department’s Homicide Unit and Internal Affairs Division. The Office of Public Safety Accountability and the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office are providing oversight by monitoring the investigation.

Heard a story from years ago. A dude wanted to go out in a blaze of glory. Shot up a bunch of places, Sheriff's office is freaking out. Have an idea about who the shooter is. Go looking at his landlord's place. He's there, got the landlords wife as a hostage, landlord is shot. Deputies call for backup, closest is THE SHERIFF. Announce themselves. Bad guy decides to punch out, botches the job. Other backup arrives, calls for EMT. Sherrif canceled the call, goes inside with the asshole, waits for him to pass, comes out and calls for the coroner. Things were different back in the day.
