On August 4, 2024, at 4:39 PM, an FHP Trooper stopped Rasheed Ja’kwen Campbell for speeding on SR-82 in Lee County, Florida of police chase. Smelling marijuana, the Trooper learned that Rasheed, already on felony probation for carrying a concealed firearm, had been smoking in the car of police chase. A search revealed marijuana packaged for sale, a grinder, rolling papers, and a large amount of cash. Rasheed resisted arrest and fled in his vehicle, sparking a high-speed chase. After crashing, he tried to flee on foot but was caught and arrested of police chase. He faced multiple charges, including possession of marijuana with intent to sell, fleeing from law enforcement, resisting arrest, and battery on a law enforcement officer, and was found to be in violation of his probation of police chase. The marijuana tested positive, and Rasheed was booked into the Lee County Jail of police chase.
