A homeless man was “hunting for a woman alone” when he ambushed Brianna Kupfer at the store where she worked in 2022. Shawn Laval Smith stabbed the 24-year-old UCLA graduate student 46 times and left her to bleed out. The killer documented the attack with an audio recording, which was used against him by police.
