My First Time Racing a Car – Everything Law and Order Blog

What is it like to drive a race car in a door to door endurance race? Well in this video I show you our 24hours of Lemons e46 BMW and our team’s first time on the race track. After installing a fire suppression system, battery cutoff switch, roll cage, and containment racing seat with a full 6pt harness, we are ready to race… Well, so we thought… What we expected to be a weekend of racing ended up being a weekend of swapping a blown motor with a new junkyard motor into the race car.

  1. Chrisfix I dont know if you're still reading this 2 years later, but your oil pump nut fell off. That's why the engine blew up. Common issues on M54B30 engines that see the redline a lot.

  2. In your power steering repair video of this car, it is BLATANTLY clear you had a MASSIVE leak of the oil filter housing gasket. If you've never done one of these, I don't blame you for skipping it, but it's really NOT bad at all. I dreaded getting in there and fixing mine, but after diving in, it was really super easy. I couldn't believe I had fretted over it as much as I had. It was nothing to fix.

  3. were the wheels, steering wheel, brakes, and power steering not counted in the cost? i get the roll cage and seat as very expensive safety components getting a pass, but im unsure what the rules are on those parts.

  4. I know what a weekend of failure is like lol. I’ve raced my 2-stroke Seadoo against my uncles honda 1500cc turbocharged ski and ended up blowing up my engine halfway up the river, what I expected the be a weekend of river riding and racing ended up being a weekend of swapping an engine in the seadoo

  5. 19:52 but before putting it in, u have to make sure it works on its own aint it? how would u make sure that this engine is not faulty from the get go?

yes, i dont know much about cars, so, just hypothesizing.

  6. good tip. never look behind you, you can see in the side of youre eye if someone is passing you trust if tehre behind you, its there foult if they end in the grass. (ive ben driving go kart for 3-4 years, and ben tairend by a le mangs driver).. but awsome youre actualy driving in the race cool vidio
