Police say an “acquaintance,” Chad Richards, is now in custody for Welsh’s tragic death. It would seem that some people don't have a high opinion of life, themselves or others. He will possibly be prison for a long while. Maybe a life sentence, for killing Kara.

He’s so right!! We have not educated our children enough on how dangerous domestic violence relationships are, how serious they get and how to look out for signs. I was emotionally & even once physically abused in HS played off in a “joking way” So I didn’t even realize until years later.
She broke up with him. Her life was going somewhere and he was flunking out of school. So he killed her in a fit of rage.

I'm not sure when (in Kara's life line) the photos being used were taken, but in them, she looks like a tween. Like someone who trying to decide which outfit to wear to the mall to hang out with friends on Friday evening should have been the most trouble their short young life should have had to handle. She looks so young it's hard to comprehend that she could even get herself mixed up with people who play this way. Regardless, it doesn't make her family & loved ones pain any less, they will all be in my prayers.
