Instead of installing an expensive car alarm system or using ineffective methods to prevent your car from getting stolen, learn how to install an inexpensive, hidden kill switch. http://simplisafe.com/dreamcar
This kill switch is easy to install and anyone can do it at home with basic tools. It can also work along with your car’s current alarm system. How it works is it cuts the power to the fuel pump so you cannot jump start the car, hot wire it, or even push start it. In order to steal the car you need to tow it! It is better than a batter quick disconnect because your computer wont restart and you wont lose your radio stations.

Place a decoy switch under the dashboard that triggers the alarm when activated.
Where can I place a momentary so i don’t have to turn it on every time
If I was a criminal & wanted to take this car.I would just cut the blue cord completely off and reconnect the two original blackwires
Chris thank you so much for everything you’ve done over the years, you’ve helped me basically all my life 😂 God bless you 🙏
Wire it to fuel pump relay and wire 2nd switch the horn, airbags go off and doors lock if power is turned ON.
13:20 why does it have to go all the way in?
why did the parted out s2k have a toyota emblem on it… 1:08
Wow this is amazing. I would not chance fitting this by myself. Way too technical for me.
Get a security system that doesn't connect to the internet.
You used the non insulated crimp part not the insulated crimp when you crimper the quick connect
Hey, i have that same radio
Wouldn't a professional go straight to the fuse box?
The seller probably had extra keys and got it back
Honestly, driving a manual is far more deterrent than a kill switch in America XD
Use a OEM switch, install it where one could be from factory.
15:16 maybe more than that depending on who wants to steal it
I also know Chris wants to be family friendly (just wanted to point that out)
Nice advertising!
What would happen if the switch is flicked off while the car is already running?
Then also what would happen if it was flicked back on afterwards while the car is moving?
4:40 found the wire that goes to 12v in the run position but not the one that always 12v. Is this normal ?
It would also be cool in case you got jacked, to have a time delay relay so the dirtbag can drive a block or two away before he realizes he has something else to be pissed@you about.
It's an hummer
My kill switch was to pull out the relay under the hood.
I have a perfect deterrent to theft…standard shift transmission and manual clutch.
Me being burnt forgetting about the switch momentarily and getting pissed car won't start. Lol. Just me
Dammit. Lol
Couldn't of found ur channel at a better time.well ok i take that back, ive messed up tons of stuff making me a semi half assed Jerry rigger. All jokes aside thank you for explaining the task so easily repeatable for others including myself. Honestly wish I found ur channel much sooner
What happens If I forget to turn the switch "off" when I park?
Superb
Does it matter what amp rating on the switch I install or any switch will work?
You are an excellent educator. You include the little things, like sliding the shrink tube on before crimping.
Can anybody help me? I have a 2003 toyota kzn165r. Cannot seem to find a fuel pump relay anywhere?!?! Looked at manual and location it says, it's not a relay it's just a plug.
The manual transmission and the Killswitch
The car thieves: 😮😐😡😡😡😡😡😡
Really appreciate this. Just bought my hatchback back and now gonna finish all my projects on it
Or you can just pull out a fuse
Chris, I have bad news. I followed your tutorial to the letter, and when I went to my garage yesterday, my car was gone. It seems that the criminal saw your video, and knew precisely where my kill switch was. You owe me one 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California.
Seriously, though, great video.
oh you're the guy that I watched this video from ages ago
My brother in law had this installed on an Oldsmobile mobile years ago & at the time it was a rare car & thieves tried to steal it multiple times but could never do it
I had someone steal my Del Sol one time.
No forced entry, no messing with the ignition. I couldn't tell how the guy stole it.
weird question, but can i do this on an automatic? will it just break the car completely?
