Pavel Durov, the founder and CEO of the Telegram messaging and social media app, was arrested by French authorities over the weekend. Investigators accuse him of allowing criminal activity on the site, including the sharing of child sexual abuse material, as well as drug trafficking. A woman traveling with the exiled Russian billionaire, a video game streamer named Juli Vavilova, has reportedly not been heard from since Durov was taken into custody. FBi Update :- Pavel Durov is wanted for facilitating the hijacking of a truckload of Viagra by persons using the Telegram app to organize the heist. Special Agent B.Oner said the agency is looking for a group of hardened criminals who will receive stiff sentences when caught. One of the suspects is currently involved in a standoff with police in uptown New York but authorities say they are working vigorously to bring the situation to a head.
This sounds like a smear campaign against Durov.
