The closest I ever came to getting busted, and I've been driving and smoking for 28 years, was 2007 on Reseda blvd, just turned south off Lassen, shifting with a joint burning in my mouth, a motorcycle cop was sitting in the fire station. He pulled out behind me because of my modified exhaust. I had 2 half ozs in my driver side door slot, bagged separate, felony intent to distribute. I pulled into a shopping center with my joint thrown onto the floor, trying to mash it out with my foot. As he's walking up to my window I see smoke still coming from my floor….. He asks for the DL, reg & ins, I give it to him. He writes a fix-it-ticket for the exhaust and tells me to have a nice day. I never took a ticket so gleefully in my life.
