I hope this is not true, but I think he died and when his number was no longer active for a long time, the service provider disconnected the number and sold it to someone else.

So I say you did the right thing and it helped it’s literally similar and also decreased a few couple of scammers which makes the world a lot safer each time.

Honestly this is the actual best way to stop scammers, if you can teach them that they can do other jobs and make a good wage without scamming they won't do it anymore.
If you just scare them chances are they'll keep going as the police often back them up anyway.
I am just now seeing this and that is is why I really like watching your channel. You do give scammers a chance. We are a little bit like James. PLEASANT GREEN you take a chance on them. But that is what we are suppose to do. Everyone deserves a chance. I am a Christian and I believe that we are to take chances on people. Jesus did. Thank you for what you do. For the couple of times you were scammed, it was well worth the happiness of everyone you helped.
It's always good to try to get the scammer to realize they can offer something of actual value rather than scamming people. When we help another we also help ourselves in the process. It may not be immediate but down the road it could be your choice to help said person that was the only reason you became where you are now. Remember even the smallest choices we make can result in the biggest of consequences down the road.
