  1. Thank you bro. Been watching your vids lately and I've been learning a lot.

    Im about to replace my fuel pump as well, but ended up learning more than I thought and i feel more confident!

    thanks again

  2. Chris i need your help seems like a Ford s Max not anyyhing Are like other cars, cant find the fuel filter and I took the hold tank down and pulled of the pump, and it suddenly ran again, but since it wont take throttle too good its like its losning throttle Even tho i put My pedal down

  3. What do you think about a fuel pump that activates but the pressure is only 10 PSI. I did a flex fuel upgrade (eflexfuel kit) on my 02 GT so I'm thinking that my fuel pump can't handle the ethanol content. It was at 61% ethanol when the pressure dropped. The car did have 40 PSI after the flex fuel mod but a few days later it dropped to 10 PSI. By the way, I already replaced the fuel filter yesterday and it did not help. UPDATE: I found my OEM housing, cleaned it up and installed the new fuel pump in it. Running on 61% ethanol for a few days but when I refueled this morning the gas gauge quit working. I had a broken wire on the float and thought I did a good job soldering it back on but I guess I am wrong. Going to have to drop the tank again and hope I don't mess anything else up (especially the filler tube grommet). I hope I can drop the tank like you did and can remount more easily this time (took 4 hours to get the tank back on a few days ago). I wonder how you managed to drop the tank like that without destroying the fuel neck grommet on the tank or the fuel filler itself.

  4. Word of advice: some 4th gen mustangs have no EVAP sensor. If you're replacing the whole assembly, make sure you know which one to get. My friend got the wrong one and we had to re-pin the plug on the pump harness to make it work.

  5. thanks for explaining I have a Suburban 2012 it shut down in the road when I made OBD test it gave multiple codes one of them U0073 data bus comunication , P069E fuel pump module control – Mil activation requested , P2635 fuel pump low performance , P0108B fuel pressure sensor B and of course the delay start engine my question where is the fuel valve regulator in Suburban 2012 shuold I replace it , is the fuel pump is broken and need to be replaced or updating online Or I have to fix the bus comunication Bus before to solve the problem thanks in advance .

  6. I don’t know if anyone else noticed this but I love how when you take out the old pump it has the new fuel pump in lol guess someone forgot to record jk I’m using this video to replace the pump in a 2002 mustang that will hopefully be my first car

  7. Chris, ive watched you all my life, and i have finally gotten my own 3v 4.6 mustang and i just wanna say thank you so much for posting all this because im having major misfire issues and its come down to the cats, the fuel filter and or fuel pump and you just so happened to diagnose this😭🙏🏿

  8. Nice video as always. I did this several times for my old car. One aditional check that I also did was to test for a second the old and new pump directly on the car battery using wires. This way you know for sure if the old pump is bad or it is something in the assembly (like pump plug might go bad) and that the new pump is also working before installing it. You can also use multimeter to test the pump itself.

  9.   10. An important Word Of Warning though;
    NEVER attempt to repair a metal gas tank by welding under any circumstances.
    This is an extremely dangerous procedure and should be left to a specialist.
    And whatever you do, no smoking or naked flames either.

  11. Can taking a reading across the circuit be wonky and still work?

    I’m not able to get much more than trace voltage, like .1, but I also have cause to doubt the reading. I can still get a hard start going after some effort. If it was an electrical issue, wouldn’t it be impossible to start the vehicle at all?
