Yes! They are going to find out if the police officer “crossed the line” with this woman? ABSOLUTELY cops cross the line very day and this particular cop was thrown face down, on the ground. She had many injuries, according treatment and records of her hospital visit. . Not only lawfully was that cop wrong, but morally and ethically too, he “crossed that line”.she had every right to film the cops at work. Our first amendment gives all of us that protection. . but tyrants like the cop who assaulted the photographer either did not know that, of he simply does not approve it. So he physically assaulted the woman and left her with long term injuries.
WHEN are we the lawful public , going to demand justice for this kind of situation? When are we, lawful citizens, going to demand police officers have MUCH improved training So they are educated about our laws and about our civil rights, which they seem determined to ignore! What are they afraid we will see with a camera? ? The entire policing industry needs a BIG overhaul, starting with their training and their psychological testing.The reason for this testing, was to weed out the wrong type of person. Like one only attracted because they crave authority and control. In the past , someone who failed psychological testing, was not allowed to graduate training. Nowadays, over 70% of applicants fail said testing! But, most are allowed to graduate from the police academy! . So, 70% of our cops now, do not have the skills required for police work. Yet we give them a badge, pepper spray, a taser and a gun! (God help us all! ) In my humble opinion, we also need to remove Qualified immunity. Police should have to purchase a form of insurance , so like doctors,they are covered incase ever sued. As things stand now, if rogue cops are sued for abuses, we the lawful tax payers end up paying the legal fees of cops. Let them pay their own debts, out of their own pockets, or take legal fees out of their retirement fund. Finally, I believe a police officer who is fired because of a crime in one police district, should NEVER be allowed to move on to the next township to be a cop there! Which is what often happens now! Shameful!

Qualifications to join the Gardi. Leaving Cert (High school diploma. 3rd level Degree.
6 months training if you are selected from the hundreds that apply . After passing out from the Garda College the recruit will be constantly evaluated for 18 months before being allowed to interact with the general public independently.
The Garda are an Unarmed Police force.

Where I live, our City Council members are elected. That means they are answerable to We The People and all of their meetings are attended and recorded by ordinary citizens.
These states and counties should be forced to pay their victims major damages- but it shouldn’t come at the expense of taxpayers, the officers and their superiors should forfeit their personal funds and retirement accounts to pay for their crimes- it shouldn’t be covered by city insurance or taxpayers. Make them carry malpractice insurance just like medical professionals!
