  1. If you've got PTSD and you're bothered by fireworks, GET A CLUE…JULY 4TH BRINGS FIREWORKS! Get some earplugs or take a camping trip to a quiet location. The world does not revolve around you.

  2. The Fourth of July, we all have a legal right to set off safe fireworks. For any police officer to come around and say that “it’s setting off my PTSD could you tone it down”? is obnoxious. Go inside put on headphones and listen to music but don’t expect the world to rotate around you.

  3. This is one time I don’t want to take the cop out back and beat him lol this guys neighbours are a bunch of a-hole drunk young adults. He went to confront them and ask them to aim them somewhere else. IF he didn’t actually point the gun at them, what is wrong with bringing a firearm with him? You and the responding cops bring up he didn’t know his neighbours and if they were dangerous…he also didn’t know they WEREN’T dangerous. In today’s atmosphere, I would never go (in USA) confront anyone without a firearm because people are unpredictable especially when drunk. Would it have been different if he had a concealed pistol or even an open carry holstered pistol? He still would’ve had a firearm on him so the situation is the same unfortunately you can’t holster a rifle, you use a tight or duty sling to carry it. Were the neighbours gun hating losers and saw the big, scary “military assault style” weapon (left wing jargon)? Let me know down in the comments lol

  4. The blue wall is so thick in this country. Police officers would do anything to protect their brothers in blue. If it was the other way around, the officers would've arrested the civilian instantly on arrival.

  5. I also have PTSD,
    I also dislike fireworks noise,
    But I deal with it,
    By wearing earplugs, headphones ect

I don't own or possess any firearms, because of my mental illness

I don't consume alcohol or any other intoxicating substances , because it makes the the mental health problems worse .

  6. No no no no I see an immediate problem here. Why is it that when the cops get called on me. They immediately put me in handcuffs. Several witnesses set a gun was pointed at them that is a felony. They walk up and start talking to him why did they not immediately put him in handcuffs? It doesn't matter if he is a pig he is on his way to prison now or felony probation

  7. 0:56 i’m just gonna say the obvious before this even starts, if you are a vet with PTSD, what on earth are you doing becoming a police officer? Seriously, why would you go into one of the most potentially stressful career choices you could possibly get into? Stupid, I’ll say it again, stupid, that’s the dumbest argument I’ve ever heard come out of the mouth of a cop and I’ve heard a lot of fucking dumb arguments. Come from that source. Don’t go around spouting that you have PTSD from your neighbors fireworks when you’re a cop. Get bent! I have PTSD, and I’ll tell you what, if I got it from war, the sound of fireworks would not cause me to grab my service weapon and head towards the thing that was triggering the PTSD. You curl up into a ball and feel like you’re dying. This cop is a complete, fucking liar!

  8. I think the issue with this statute is that an state where open carry is legal would be open to someone saying they felt physically threatened by someone who was open carrying because perhaps they got into a verbal argument.

  9. I see this with a LOT of cops in these kinds of videos (not just with this guy); not being able to think or understand how a normal citizen thinks. The responding officer seems to get it, but the drunk one does not. If im sitting in my yard doing ANYTHING and a person walks over complaining while in the possession of a firearm, it IS threatening. Same as if im at a traffic stop and a cop pulls a gun (like the army officer that was drug out of his car at gunpoint for driving a LITTLE bit further to be in the light at a gastation). Cops feel SUPER threatened when anyone else has a weapon, but think that because they are cops that they are automaticly unthreatening, even when brandishing said weapons. People should 100% be allowed to own guns, but if you are going up to people yelling and angry while holding a firearm, you are threatining them, whether on purpose or not

  10. I'm stunned ol' drunk boy who will claim it's a holiday to excuse his irrational, illegal behaviour but not allow it as a reason for a child's birthday party and fireworks on Independence Day didn't claim "officer safety." They couldn't have done a thing to him. He was OBVIOUSLY intoximacated!
