Infamous Killer Alex Murdaugh Gets Bombshell Win in Family Murders Case – Everything Law and Order Blog

South Carolina attorney and convicted murderer Alex Murdaugh has the chance of a retrial thanks to a new ruling. Murdaugh was convicted of killing his wife Maggie and son Paul on the family’s estate in 2021. After the trial was over, court clerk Becky Hill was accused of trying to influence the jury to convict Murdaugh. The South Carolina Supreme Court will hear arguments for and against a new murder trial. Law&Crime’s Jesse Weber discusses what a retrial could look like with Joe McCulloch, who represents two of the jurors from Murdaugh’s trial.

  1. Imo it’s so obvious what happened based on his drug use and fraud testimony. Alex Murdaugh went down to the dog housing unit on his then property to kill his wife, imo he thought she was alone (he knew she was home because her vehicle was parked by the house) by herself at the dog housing unit when he shot her high on drugs, imo he was intent with the thought of killing her for her life insurance money so he could pay off his personal debts and mortgage debt on the generational property “he owned” so when he went down to where the dogs were housed on the this generational property which is quite a walk from the house they all lived in he was getting all worked up emotionally because imo he knew from the moment he left the house they all lived in together he had decided to kill her, the decision was made, it was final in his mind, he was going to shoot her with the intent to kill her as soon as he saw her (imo) by the dog housing unit on the family generational property, when he arrives at the dog housing unit of the property and sees her he blasts off one or two rounds, one or both hitting her instantly, what we don’t know is did she die instantly, or did she die moments afterwards ? But what he didn’t anticipate was his youngest son being there also to witness him murdering his mother. So we know he also killed his youngest son because the son witnessed the murder of his mother. The murder of his wife was premeditated from the first second he started to walk towards the dog housing unit from the house they all lived in which was on the same property as the dog housing unit (if I’m not mistaken I believe I heard the property consisted of hundreds of acres and or maybe over 1,000 acres, so it’s a big piece of property and from the house they all lived in to the dog housing unit was several hundred yards away of a walk from the house), he knew she was there at the dog housing unit, he thought killing her would free him from his fraud at the law firm where he worked, and maybe help keep the generational property that had been in his family since he was a small boy. His grandfather (his Dads Dad) and his dad afterwards were the head solicitors for the county they lived in, they owned the property before he received it. We have to envision what I’m saying he did, but imo we know he did this based on his own testimony. He ripped off his law firm where he was employed, he was late on mortgage payments on the property. His wife had a life insurance policy worth untold millions. Connect the dots. It’s that simple. There’s no need for a 2nd trial.

  2. I’m so glad Sidebar has become successful. But seriously? Nearly 8 minutes of shout outs in the beginning? I get wanting to show love to those who make it all happen, but then why not put that at the end of the video? I guarantee literally no one clicked on this video wanting to know who’s done what for the channel. They clicked to hear more about this absolutely absurd Murdaugh case. I’m not trying to diminish the folks who help the channel at all, but…..damn.

  3. Anyone else thinking to.check baliffs bank account? Wouldn't put it past the Murdaugh saga they paid her to make those comments in case he was found guilty to get another shot at a second trial? Why has she not been charged for tampering

  4. Wow!!! Congratulations on 1000 episodes!!! You guys are the best! We love the crisp, concise presentation and breakdown of legal issues. You make it riveting and captivating! Currently following the YSL trial here and can’t wait for your analysis on what is often somewhat confusing! Blessings!!!
