8. there is something so very serious about being a caregiver to a baby. i cracked a rib when i tripped and had a sweet little baby boy in my arms- i twisted into a protective pretzel around his tiny body and injured myself pretty bad, but knowing he didn't have a scratch on him when i handed him back to his mother made it all worth it, i would've risked my life for any one of my daycare children. to see this kind of crime from the one woman who was PAID to care for her baby and make sure she survived is really hard to see. it takes a special kind of evil to harm babies…
