  1. 13 is not a child, it's a teen, he knows it's wrong to kill and what killing means. I knew what murder was at 13 and knew it was wrong. People make to many excuses for kids these days. 13 ain't young enough to not understand. He's old enough to know better.

  2. The attack is very violent and vicious. I understand what the psychologist is trying to say but this is also a “theory”. Some people are hardwired different… in my opinion evil. Regardless of his age it is a decision to do this and he stabbed him not once but repeatedly. Respectfully the psychologist has strong emotions and opinions about him being treated as a child. He did make an adult decision let’s not forget that it is scary to think that he made that decision at 13.

  3. A statement from Trooper Steve Limani, of the Pennsylvania State Police:

"I don't say we would have any specific argument or anything that took place that we would call a motive. I don't think that that's the right word to use”.

He also referred to the boys relationship ambiguously:

“We’ll call it a friendship between the two and it wasn’t uncommon for them to be around each other”

Lastly, the body was discovered around 6 am with the knife found on the bed. It’s clear the 13 year old made no effort to hide the murder.

  4. Hw didn't behave like a child therefore let the punishment fit the crime regardless of age. What message does this send to other disturbed children who see no accountability for something like this. Trial as an adult and punish accordingly.

  5. He's 13, not 6. I think this expert grossly misunderstands just how much kids are aware of these days. Maybe when he was a kid 13 year olds didn't understand what murder was. Thank social media and the internet combined with a lack of parenting that introduces children like this to this sort of concept. At 13 you understand what murder is and why you shouldn't do it. Just because you cannot completely weigh the long-term consequences just yet because your brain does not consider longevity does not mean you entirely don't understand.

  6. Ok he’s a child, but he’s old enough to understand when you do bad things there are consequences. He absolutely should be charged as an adult. Normal 13 years olds aren’t even thinking about murder

  7. I remember when i was 15 i had to do a stay in the local detention center, and there was this kid there who was a year younger than me, and they all said he stabbed his younger cousin to death over a monopoly game. Well i didnt believe it i just thought it was one of those rumors that get spread, until i got out and looked it up years later and sure enough, he was in the paper for killing his 9 year old cousin, "over a board game."

  8. This is what happens when you aren't allowed to discipline our children .I am 67 years old, I was terrified of getting a whooping from my mother and father .I KNEW if I acted out in ANY way I had it coming .Now I'm not saying beat you children .I am saying discipline . Children have no consequence for what they do these days .

  9. Video games with their violence breeds insensitivity and our kids spend a lot of time playing violent games….time to band all video games for anyone under 21 yrs old…so sad

  10. Since when did the media show the face of young criminals under the age of 18. First they showed that 12 year old girl now the 13 year old. This never was the case years ago. Back then the face of a 12 or 13 year olds face would’ve been blurred out but there showing his face like they did the twelve year old girls. By the way let’s not use movies as scapegoats movies don’t make people kill I’ve seen many different types of movies and I turned out ok. And don’t even start with video games I’ve played GTA many many times I’ve never done the things that the characters in that game have done

  11. Stop talking about these cases like a 13yo has no concept of right or wrong that's just BS. A 13yo understands what death is. A 13yo understands what murder is. He stabbed him multiple times. This was not an accident.

  12. I am a therapist and by the age of 13 a child knows right from wrong. Even if this child seen something like this on TV or a game he would know that stabbing someone in the head would kill someone. He did this out of anger. I dealt with kids like this all of the time and they always show anger before this happens and have anger issues. Mom lied.

  13. I am the 10 year Olds mother. My nephew had this planned. It was not a blind rage, and there was not a fight. An argument would have been heard. There was not any clue this was going to happen. The boys always spent the night together, they were inseparable. They stayed in James bedroom that night. James confessed and had planned it out.

  14. My children were taught from the moment they were able to throw tantrums that hurting someone is wrong. He was probably never taught or disciplined correctly or he is just an evil child.

  15. The mom doesn’t want the “defendant” bashed because he too is her blood. My nephews are my heart, I can’t imagine losing my son and my nephew in the same day 😢

  16. All this tiktok and everything going on, where grown ups pretend to stab to songs!!!!!!!!!!!!! and look at the world, grown ups on the news bombing each other 24/7, and then we wonder that children copy behaviour
