  1. This is a solid reminder of why when cops get hurt or sent to the shadow realm in the line of duty, i never feel bad for them: because so many pull stunts like this, i often believe they've brought it in themselves.

  2. Love seeing Mr Mike submit and follow up with the proper actions. He’ll likely get a nice payout from that. Arresting the dude twice is just insane, and obviously retaliatory. Good luck bud.

  3. I would just like to say that I was arrested by Officer Mang, way back in like 2000-2001. When I was under arrest, like the young 18-year-old genius I thought I was, I attempted to use every name I could come up with of every other cop I knew. Despite my horrendous attempts at getting out of trouble, Officer Mang was still extremely professional, an did his job with the up most respect and courtesy. I would see him out at a local wing restaurant and had many conversations with him after my arrest. I understood he was just doing his job. All this being said a lot can change over 20-25 years. I no longer live in that state, so I cannot speak to his character at this point. I just wanted to point out my own personal experience with him. Maybe this video is just a fluke, or maybe my interactions with him were the one in a million. All I can do is just tell how he was with me over 20 years ago, and I have no complaints.

  4. I am so proud if this officer. The streets are now safer!!

Dont get me wrong. This woman is playing dumb. She was told, and then acts like she wasn't. So to me, she is at falt here too. And she then play "victim"……

Listen to how she is "crying" and then when she asks for her phone….. she sounds like she is faking it.

  5. Courts have routinely ruled that ignorance of the law *IS* an excuse. It's an excuse for cops. The people who are paid to enforce the law are legally exempt from punishment for being ignorant of the law. Keep voting Republican, people, and that will never change.

  6. Did they see him peering into car windows on the street? Was he pulling at handles or jimmying locks? THAT might be RAS. Not just riding around with no connection to any vehicle or articulable suspicion of any particular crime.

  7. Hollywood hype and fiction has entered into the minds of even our cops. It infects them with assumptions and presumptions.

The proper address due Mr Brooks is Officer. Mr. Brooks is the Kevin Costner movie.

  8. I would not normally take the officers side but in this instance officer brooks should be commended for not shooting that trifling woman. Absolutely ridiculous. Her actions (and inactions) were completely out of line and childish. How many times does she think the officer should repeat himself, politely no less. Should an officer remain for hours repeating himself until thick headed people hear what they have said to them. Would that be a good way for police to spend out tax dollars.

  9. It’s like some male officers seem to have a particular disdain for women of color being too assertive. Honestly, I don’t blame her actions here. She may not have known the exact laws, but she’s not an auditor and was rightfully advocating for her rights when she was given no direction as to what she was signing, and the officer made no attempt to explain or allow her to comply once she backed down, refuse to repeat his badge number (perfectly reasonable when a citizen is processing a lot of info at once) and then used his own impatience as the impetus for initiating the arrest. I also highly doubt any of the Graham factors were met here, as she clearly had no idea what a lack of signing meant, and the reason for the stop was beyond minor. There’s no way the cop gets a higher grade than the citizen caught off guard and suddenly threatened with arrest. He took issue with her assertiveness and taking steps to collect his info to file a complaint, and I think ATA does as well. It’s quite reasonable to make a complaint against an officer who just demands a signature on threat of arrest (especially someone who is visiting from out of town).

  10. "Ignorance of the Law is no excuse" is to me a generally out dated statement. It can still have a place. But we no longer live in a society where all/most laws are on public display at local governing bodies, and with the HUGE amount of zones, areas, counties, cities, etc. That all have their own laws and requirements that have the ability to change and flex, Saying "Ignorance of the law is no excuse" is at this point, a bad ruling excuse.

  11. "ignorance of the law is not a defense" Way to protect the people US Justice System. As if people are ever made aware of the laws being passed regularly, or that they should know the many thousands. What a BS system.

  12. All the crime in Atlanta and they had 6 or more officers standing around at a park like drug dealers, they literally looked like they were up to something especially that 1 with the fitted cap and cops who wear those face covers for no reason are always unhinged and weird. I didn’t like the visual at all on top of adding that random charge at the end just for shit and giggles was scary as wells. They looked like the criminals.

  13. I mean the cop could’ve just let the people from out of town with a warning but everything that happened is because this grown ass women couldn’t listen to the simplest of instructions and acted like a child.

  14. In all fairness while the officer from the first video could have shown more discretion, he did tell her that if she didn't sign the ticket, she would be arrested. At that point, she should have signed the ticket & his badge number would have been on the copy of the ticket. Asking & saying "why am I being arrested? I'll sign the ticket now" over and over is a little late. You f*cked around, the officer didn't have the patience for that, so now you find out.
