Someone in the military should know that you're supposed to follow orders from someone in command. "Serving my country" is not a reason to deny orders. However, the officers were way overboard and threatening.

Officers do not come before Citizens, we must make this known to them again.
Cops will never be held accountable as long as judges and prosecutors side with them. We may want police reform and accountability, but we also need to hold those that enable them accountable.

What I find more terrifying among all these extremely terrifying things in this video is that you get 2 guns pointed to your head for a traffic violation.

However, he was awarded only $3,685, including $1 in nominal damages “in order to vindicate his rights under the U.S. Constitution,” by a Richmond jury that mostly sided with law enforcement.

Decided to watch this video again in 2024 as it came up inside a conversation and realized I never got the ending . Yeah the cop got fired but apparently the JURY sided with the OFFICERS?!?!

Frankly, I don’t blame the driver for pulling into a well lit area… wouldn’t it had been smart of the cops to explain sooner rather than later about why he’s being stopped. Would have probably deescalated the situation… cops high on power. Respect our Veterans!

What really pisses me off about this video is the officers conflicting orders. How do you open your door when you're told to put your hands out the window, and turn your vehicle off. How do you do that with your hands out the window? That soldier would have to be an idiot to step out of a vehicle where you've got two trigger happy cops that at any second can scream gun. And then you still have the officer screaming keep your hands outside the window and in the next breath it's get out of the car? And then when you heard the soldiers say I'm honestly scared to get out the cop says you should be!!!!!!!! I'd be afraid to with idiots like this carrying guns in a pocket full of qualified immunity.
UPDATE: This case went up to the 4th Circuit, who affirmed most of the district court’s judgement but stripped Gutierrez of qualified immunity on the unreasonable seizure claim as the death threats made against Lt Nazario were found to violate the Fourth Amendment.
The case has been remanded for further proceedings.

Screaming like that at somebody in army uniform and expecting them to be shaken by it is just hilarious, that's probably part of his pre breakfast routine 🤣
There was this one time my mother was pulled over by a cop, and to be safe since he was in an undercover vehicle and it was the middle of the night, she pulled into a gas station nearby rather than pulling over immediately. Cop didn't escalate the situation; he asked her calmly why she didn't immediately pull over and she explained that she wanted to be certain she was in a well-lit area with people nearby just in case he wasn't a real cop, and the officer was completely understanding of her reasons; he even PRAISED her for being safe before letting her know that her taillight was out, and issuing a warning to get it fixed as soon as possible. These guys didn't even give the man a chance to explain himself; they drew their firearms and escalated the situation instantly. These aren't cops to me – they're tyrants in a uniform.
