  1. Right before the order to take him out of handcuffs, one of the officers mentions that they've "told SWAT."

How does no one at Cincinnati PD know what swatting is and why are they activating the SWAT Team without verifying that anything has happened?

Do they send/activate SWAT for every alarm from banks in the city? Most alarms are false, just like most people aren't calling police to say they're about to kill people.

  2. Crazy that people can call anonymously and without being traced on a 911 call where they report extremely volatile and dangerous crimes and get that sort of response, your phone is just as or more dangerous than a weapon…

  3. I'm not entirely mad about this one. For sure the detainment was not required and also they should have listened more.

But I think, given they didn't understand it, the result was pretty good. If all swatting ends like this, it would be, somewhat annoying and not great from a rights standpoint but, not bad. It's fair to say the police have to process a lot of information quite quickly, when the concern at hand is quite serious.

I do not think any of the police acted with particular malice intended.

It's such a dangerous thing. If all swatting went like this, it would be on the whole a much less scary issue.

  4. The fact that before they ask any questions or talk to him, they handcuff him and put him in a cop car. Not to mention the fact that they say “let us explain, let us explain,” over and over again, without fucking explaining
