So basically he killed her for the property. Thought she would not be missed since he confirmed she had family and kids who she wasn't talking to. He never expected this much publicity for someone so "unwanted." He sold everything because he had her as a target. I think he sabotaged this and realized it wasn't worth the hassle. So he walked away. His theories are so bizarre that you gotta believe it was the "fiance'". Like seriously you think the son paid the entire police department off? REALLY? After he agreed to pay him off he just had to wait. Ridiculous.
