A 22-year-old nursing student was found dead and wrapped in sheets in a car at a Mississippi graveyard on July 3. Lauren Johansen’s longtime boyfriend, Bricen Rivers, was released on bond days before Johansen’s death after allegedly beating her while they were on vacation together in Tennessee. So tragic! I pray for the family and families who have suffered this kind of travesty of justice. The justice systems have the ability to look at videos and hear recordings and they STILL failed! Stop allowing bond for these criminals!

A large reason why things like this happen is because there is no accountability or consequences to the people who hold positions of authority who decide to let bad people bond out easily or parole out early. If those people where to face severe consequences, such as losing their job……………they would would be more strict and diligent to prevent further crimes from happening.
The judge should be sued for incompetence and indirect murder for releasing the murderer in spite of the strong signs he would kill her!
The judge should be held accountable as well for her murder, since the judge released him, and he went and killed her.

0% faith in the system to protect us at this point. So sad she was failed by the judge that NEVER should’ve let this psychopath go. Ladies stay strapped. Carry some form of protection. No one is coming to save us.

Sadly,it is a reality that we have to accept that our legal system is so convoluted and lax in dealing with perpetrators thus allowing them to reoffend with impunity.

😢it should not have happened. The perpetrator should not have the same rights after such beating. It may not be an easy decision, but the signs were written in blood and significantly.
