Alec Baldwin Trial: What to Expect – Everything Law and Order Blog

Alec Baldwin was indicted on one count of involuntary manslaughter in January for the fatal shooting of Halyna Hutchins on the set of his movie “Rust” in 2021. The famed actor is set to face trial on July 9 after multiple failed attempts to get the case thrown out. Baldwin’s armorer, Hannah Gutierrez, was convicted of the same charge and sentenced to 18 months behind bars in connection to the shooting. Law&Crime’s Sierra Gillespie breaks down what to expect in Alec Baldwin’s trial.

  1. All gun's kill if u av one on filmset or at home. But a gun a home u buy to kill ? A gun on a filmset should be fake no …, with technology these days on filmset there shouldn't be gun.

Id like to know were r all the camera's & phone's that day filming it dont tell me there wasn't camera's & phone's running, people use there phone's every day that goes for camera's men & women.., so were is all the footage 🤔 or is people on set scared to come forwards……
Some fxxkers as stuff on there camera's …
Still think 🤔 more to the case & more cover up… well they was down Mexico…!!!

If i was a actor in this day & age i wudnt what to pick up a gun on set ,all gun's should be fake & u use the technology for the rest …

  2. Alex Baldwin trusted Hannah Gutierrez how the world did he supposed to have known that was a real bullet so no I don't have him responsible Hannah Gutierrez was handling the gun she is responsible for putting real bullets inside the gun.

  3. I think people should stop referring to him as “A-list actor Alex Baldwin”. He’s not. This trial is going to be very interesting. In initial convo with NM police, he says be pulled the trigger but changes his story later.

  4. I think they are just out for blood because he said he didn’t pull the trigger and they say he did. That point doesn’t really matter when the assurance is from the armorer and her supervisor that it is a cold gun regardless of if it goes off or not . He’s innocent 😮.

  5. I do not believe Alec Baldwin is guilty in this case !!! He had an armorer to handle weapons and ammunition and no live ammunition should have been there on set. Whether he pulled the trigger in a movie or not it does not matter. All ammunition was to have been checked by the armorer and Alec was told that it was. It was said to be a “cold” gun by the armorer and her supervisor and so Alec trusted that and there’s no reason he should not have trusted it ! Free Alec !!! 😊😊😊

  6. I've gone back and forth on Baldwin's guilt, but the New Mexico law stating films do not exempt the user of a gun from liability seems solid. It clearly doesn't exonerate the armorer. Baldwin pulled the trigger, or the gun malfunctioned, same thing, it's on him, and his shady statements and other things seem to indicate there was a lot of disfunction on the set. I mean, using the guns for plinking between takes, that is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Plus gun violence is a health issue and Baldwin is infectious.

  7. Look I hate Alec.. but he’s an actor. All this drama about treating every gun like it’s loaded. I get it. You should.
But when you have someone responsible for gun props.
An actor shouldn’t have to do his or her job.
Had Alec been a no name actor.
This would have ended at the armorer..
Period. But because he mocked trump. Something I find disrespectful.
But this was 100% on the armorer..

If you have ever been on set. You would know, no one treats a prop like real guns.
    Ever..
this is awful. But when you show up in costume, and someone hands you a prop
You are worried about getting the shot,
Not hey this is probably loaded.
Get real people. Someone has already been charged for being sloppy. Case closed

  8. This is an incredibly minor-league, simple criminal case. The only thing making it "big" is a well known actor being involved. But as a criminal case, its nothing.

  9. BALDWIN PREMEDITATED HUTCHIN'S MURDER. WHY ELSE WOULD AN A LIST CELEBRITY BE IN A LOW BUDGET FILM AND GET PAID PENNIES FOR DOING IT? HE KNEW EXACTLY WHAT HE WAS DOING. HIS BEHAVIOR THE WHOLE TIME WAS TO BE USED AS HIS ''DEFENSE''

  10. Baldwin has a reputation of being abusive and a bully. He tried to get in front of the shooting by doing that interview with George Stephan whats his name, he's a creep. Remember him trashing his own daughter in front of the whole world. He hired inexperienced people to save money, rush, rush, rush.
