My guess as to why Karen was at sidebar was for the judge to have Karen confirm she did not wish to testify. Further, I think Massachusetts is a state that requires the judge to be involved if any plea offers of made… it wouldn't surprise me at all if the prosecution tried to offer a deal at this stage and that the judge needed to hear from Karen that her counsel informed her of the offer, etc., and that she was turning it down.
Also…the CW arguing consciousness of guilt was a joke. Why would she stay at his house and grieve with the family? She is entitled to grieve on her own. Not to mention, we don't have any info on how his family treated her while at the house. They could've been cold to her for all we know. Regardless, she didn't have to stay there. Further, zero reason for her to leave her car at his house. She went to her parents' house, so they took the car there. It makes sense. She should be able to go home after being at her parents' house. McLaughlin is as big of a fool as Lally.
whatever pile of evidence there is against her, his injuries are not from a car, it looks a lot like bites.
She knows she did it ,that's why she said I hit him , three times , then she Google's "how long does it take to die in the cold.". She squished him like a bug breaking the tail light and those are tire tracks on the arm.

One very sad thing is trooper Proctor will never ever see a day behind bars for telling someone to kill themselves, why ? Because he's a cop , that's the one and only reason , because he's a cop ! They were all laughing about what he stated , his boss everyone ! Yet they put regular citizen in prison , the system is so broken !

NOT GUILTY! To much doubt! John Most likely got punched in the face and he fell back on the cement floor and the dog attacked at the same time trying to protect the person that hit John. John was drunk. I think they dragged him out to the spot he was found figuring John would wake up and call for a ride but instead he died! The FBI witnesses were the best out of all witnesses. They have no stake in it for either side!
