Lauren McCluskey, a 21-year-old student, was murdered on the University of Utah campus in October 2018 by her ex-boyfriend Melvin Rowland, who then took his own life. McCluskey had reported Rowland to university police for harassment and stalking after ending their relationship upon discovering he was a registered sex offender who had lied about his identity and criminal history. Despite McCluskey and her friends reporting abusive behavior and fears of violence to university officials multiple times, their concerns were allegedly dismissed. The tragic case highlighted serious failures in the university’s response to reports of stalking and potential violence against students.

  1. "She called Alex to really give her the downLOAD…" lol. Made me chuckle.
It's sort of like how younger people say "hashtag" and older people say "pound sign" or "number symbol."

  2. Sorry…Mo-Have desert? Girl…GIRL Mo-HAA-VEH. Is Spanish. Please don't say mohave ever again lmao. It's so close to the end of the video and completely threw me off lol

  3. I hope those cops feel guilty for not taking her seriously. Now someone is dead. Cops seriously need to buck tf up and take their jobs more seriously. What are you guys doing out there?!

  4. Target us a store, a great store but just a basic department store.

If visiting Target is the "pinnacle of your life" you need to get a life. Seriously girl.

  5. I saw this on Dateline and just absolutely horrible what happened to this young woman. She was failed in so many ways 😢💔

  6. I'm a simple person. I see Annie Elise, immediately stop the video and leave. Really wish L&C would stop hosting her content here, it's a waste of space.

  7. Rip Lauren the Police and University failed you shame on them for caring about their image then the safety of student 💔

  8. No. The world is not safe. It just is not. Some places are safer than others but no where is totally safe. Come on. Exercise judgment.
