  1. Regardless that is not an excuse to kill someone people just have evil inside even those that seem innocent and quiet .total evil

  2. Oh my gosh. A family member of mine knows the 14-year-old girl that killed her mom and shot her dad. That little girl was a straight A student. Extremely polite. This came as a tremendous shock to the whole community.

  3. I agree if the child is under 18 shouldn’t be tried as an adult. The brain isn’t fully developed until much further. I know we need consequences but, where is the reform? Address the mental health issues first and foremost. Thank you, Josh! It was great seeing you on STS with the Black Swan verdict discussion. Have a wonderful week!

  4. As far as trying a 14 year old as an adult has been brought on by the gang environment to where senior gang members tell the young members it's ok to kill cause you are a minor and won't serve much time… That's why they are trying her as an adult not hard to figure out

  5. Knife vs gun. I went in the opposite direction actually. Depending on the circumstance, I would see grabbing a gun as less damaging to the defendant and using a knife to be worse(again depending on what happened and how it was used) 🤷🏼‍♀️

  6. Teenager being charged as an adult at 14? I feel very conflicted about that. Not only because of the reasons you gave but if she is found guilty I assume she will be housed in an adult prison with murderers and other hardened criminals. I shudder to think what could happen to her there. I guess it's possible since she is so young the other inmates may feel motherly towards her but ….. 😬

  7. She should be charged accordingly. Look at the awful attack in Southport, Liverpool where a 17 year old boy killed 3 little girls and injured several others. He needs to pay for what he did. As does this 14 year old girl.

  8. I was at home and someone was trying to come into my home late at night. They wouldn't identify themselves. And I yelled this is a stand your ground state. I do not know who you are and you are trying to break into my home. If you break down my heavy duty screen door I have every right to shoot you with my gun if I fear for my life. If you want to gamble with your life that's on you. In all that time they left and the cops and border patrol agents checked everything out

  9. As far as the minor goes, that’s a hard one for me. At 14 you have got to know murder is wrong and permanent. You’re developed enough to know that.

  10. First off, she was 14 not 4, I don't care where her brain is at now, if she's capable at 14 she would be capable in the future. I have zero problem with holding her accountable for this, she killed her own Mother…. There's no coming back from that. Los Angeles has a criminal problem, that no minor will be charged with adult murder is ludicrous. It's a terrible presidence to set..

The ballerina is a horrendous woman. People are getting sick of this "Defense". She executed that man.

Also the one with the knife, he's been sober for years, how does chronic drinking have anything to do with the case? She was upset he was cheating, seems more like a case that this is a woman scorned then anything else

  11. Dislike how much you put your feelings/biased towards the 14yr olds ruling. Your view is the reason kids anyone under 18 are acting the way they are. As if they can do ANYTHING and get away with ANYTHING because charging them as children when they are committing adult crimes is doing absolutely nothing to stop/deter them. There has to be equal punishment or the child in question will almost always commit the same offense.
Really really dropped the ball for me this week.👎

  12. Living close to the Rankin County area, when this story broke, I was wondering if it would get national attention. From the talk around town, the opinion seems to be that she is either mentally ill or evil. That's just public opinion, but I think most people around here agree she should be contained until they find her mentally ill or fit to stand trial.

  13. Understand your concern with the 14yr old being treated like an adult but did you consider that sometimes it is actually so very clear when a human is a born phychopath and can NOT be changed.

  14. "Abusive" is a word that is starting to loose it's original value. I'm now 44 and when I was a youth, the word "abusive" is in reference to physical harm. These days, when most (not all) American women use that word, it's mainly towards mental abusive. Even that I have to question because I had a co worker (and many women I've talked to over the years) that said she got divorced because her ex husband was "abusive". Come to find out, she didn't like that fact that he spoke his mind and told her the truth (ie why are you having ladies night every friday. Why are you dressed like that in public). Her husband was being a real man and was checking her for the boundaries set, prior to their relationship for which lead to marriage. After the marriage, she showed her true colors. I checked her b/s quick.

  15. She wasnt a battered sife, she testified he never hit her, they hadnt lived together for three years, she lured him there, unarmed. She's a liar.

  16. They only lived together until she got pregnant (year half- 2 yrs), Then she moved out to her mother’s with his help. They never lived together again. He only investigated (she calls it stalking) what she was up to after being ghosted and her showing up with an engagement ring. How can abuse be systematic when they did not live together. I don’t get it. Especially as she is hurling accusations his way that were never acted upon by authorities. So unfounded. This woman just wanted that child and when the ghosting wasn’t going her way in the courts, she reeled him back in every time. Only to hurl more accusations and taking his life. I look at the actions of both. I see one that admits to bad behaviour, trying to work out a legal resolution, and has never struck the other. The other is the perpetual victim, reeling in and casting out, hurling accusations that were never founded in family court, telling him one thing and everyone else something different. Using him as a mover and whatever she may need in the moment like boxes, tape errands etc. Then just like the supposed move in together in Florida, cancelled at the last moment. Repeat again with the move to Maryland. It is reasonable to be frustrated and want answers, truthful answers from her. Common sense people. She toyed with him the entire relationship. Toyed with his relationship with his daughter, trying to isolate him from her with her tantrums. Just like the one judge in all the investigations, I don’t find a scintilla of evidence that she HAD to unalive him in that moment. The actions of both show who had the control in the situation and it was not him. 👀 His mistake is he kept going back even after all the horrid accusations. He lost his life over this mistake that went against the advice of his attorney, going back with her and moving to Maryland supposedly together.
