In this episode of Crime Watch Daily Updates: In November 2015, Laila Marie Daniel’s foster mother, Jennifer Rosenbaum, called 911 to report Laila was choking on chicken. The dispatcher coached Jennifer through CPR, but by the end, it was too late. Laila was dead.
The autopsy showed Laila suffered a transected pancreas as well as bruising all over her body and broken bones. She had also been starved.
Although Jennifer and her husband appeared like the perfect couple to foster Laila and her sister, the truth came out about the horrors endured in the home that ultimately led to Laila’s death.
Jennifer was convicted of murder in August 2019 and sentenced to life in prison plus 40 years. A jury found her husband, Joseph, guilty of second-degree murder at the same trial. He was sentenced to 30 years in prison with 20 years of probation following that.
Foster homes and the social workers need to be accountable. The sicial worker made a poor choice. Abusive foster parents and CPS are at fault. Sue CPS

Does the state not visit the foster parents to check on the kids? Seems like this is something that can easily catch these monsters abusing kids.

So let me get this straight, this darlin little girl died while in foster care and yet we see her biological family blaming everyone but themselves. I understand why Laila wasn’t with her biological parents but Jesus, what about the rest of Laila’s biological family? Seems to me they were just standing by and allowing someone else to take care of their kin! Effing disgusting 🤬

The elephant in the room is that this baby is dead because of racism. She was placed in a good foster home with a Black woman who was a professional foster parent. That foster parent made sure both girls got to every appointment and made sure they remained engaged with the biological family.
The worker, the grandmother, and the mother pushed and pushed to have the girls removed from that family and placed with Jennifer Rosenbaum. That family wasn’t interested in adopting. They were hoping the girls could be reunified with the biological family. Jennifer wanted to adopt. Why would the mother want her kids with someone who wanted to adopt them when she was working to get the back?
The biological grandmother was telling the kids stuff like “that Black lady isn’t your family.”
Cps is Trash they always fail children. Cps removes children from loving parents and deliberately place with strangers that cps never even check out… how dare cps remove children from their mother based on domestic violence?
The case worker ought to go to prison as well.They murdered this poor child in the case.Worker allowed it to happen
I get it’s not the grandparents responsibility to raise their grandkids. There is no way my grandson would be in anyone foster care. This is a disgrace the child would have been better off with her being own mother. I hope foster parents spend the rest of their life in jail.

The great grandmother and Millie's dad, the bio mom family, all of them helped to mess up the girls' lives even more. Otherwise they would never have gone to the monster Jennifer. Millie was on the way of being adopted by the Chapmans and Laila would be adopted by Tiffany Shaw but the bio mom's family ruined their chances when they kidnapped Millie from the Champman's home and she was sent back to Tiffany who couldn't afford taking care of the two girls plus her own baby son. The only innocent ones are the girls, everyone failed her particularly the mom's family and of course the monster Jennifer and her husband.
Layla was taken from a bad home and put into a worse one. Surrounded by drug addicts from day one. These poor girls went through 7 different foster homes! Of course la had problems after that! Layla was becoming a catatonic baby. Her trauma was seen as behavior issues. These kids should not have been moved from one place to another all the time to live with friends of friends, acquaintances, foster parents, lots of different strangers.Tessa used to give her kids as if they were toys to anyone who wanted to take care of them Jennifer and her husband are two monsters who deserve to spend the rest of their lives in jail. But Layla’s junky mother is guilty for her death.The mom has five children with different fathers and all in foster care and one deceased. Why does she keep having children she can't take care of? Layla’s biological mom failed her, Layla’s biological dad failed her, the Foster System failed her. Patricia Lambert was the only lady who knew these children’s worth.What a sad live this little angel had! RIP Layla.😢
NO ONE WANTED LAYLA. Her great grandmother said she could only take care of Millie, but not Layla. The Chapman family only wanted to adopt Millie but not Layla.The tumultuous world of Layla seemed to take a toll on the child. She could lash out, sometimes against herself. Layla started showing signs of aggression, fighting with her sister, pulling hair and sometimes throwing herself on the ground. She was afraid of sudden movements. And she hardly spoke at all. But instead of loving her people just didn't want her around. Even the monster Jennifer told the gymnastics teacher that Millie was her bio daughter but Layla was just a foster kid, a 'drug kid' (in her words). layla was failed at every level. The 'before' and 'after' photos are heartbreaking. Well I think Patricia Lambert was the one who REALLY cared about these girls, particularly the poor Layla.
Family services need to have accountability also
