Darrell Brooks took a plea deal for the charges stemming from an incident in which he’s accused of running over his ex-girlfriend, who is also the mother of his children, prior to the Waukesha Parade Massacre. Brooks pleaded no contest to the charges. He’s currently serving life in prison without the possibility of parole for the deadly parade attack.

I only saw bits and pieces of his trial, but he was completely out of control. It blows my mind that the judge didn’t slap with him contempt after contempt charge and that he wasn’t tased and shackled for his many outbursts.

No Contest should NOT be an option because a plea is to take responsibility and it does NoT do so therefore it defeats the purpose! He will never chance! It’s in his bones and not “mental illness” as he claims
Him mama AND him talked about his mental illness but clearly that was all lies! Ppl need to realize SUBSTANCE abuse and MENTAL illness are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT! The prison doctor and counselors clearly DISAGREE or he’d be on medications!! 🙄

At the point that he's already serving six life sentences plus nearly 1,000 years in prison, I don't understand AT ALL the purpose of these proceedings. He'll NEVER have any of his previous convictions reversed on appeal where this current sentencing agreement could go into effect, nor will he EVER be able to pay restitution for harm done, so how was this not a complete waste of tax payer dollars? I get that the girl deserves justice, but this accomplished nothing whatsoever. He mowed down 6 people, which included a small child, and now we've iced the cake by wasting even more tax payer's money on this fruitless trial. They'll never recover the losses, yet they just keep spending on him.
