Officer Sean Pascoe – Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department
Officer Pascoe responds to multiple calls reporting a man firing a gun at the fuel pumps of a gas station. When he arrives, the subject is lying on the ground and not responding to police commands. After a brief standoff, the man sits up and begins to reach into his backpack with a strange grin on his face. Officers raise their guns and take cover. A low-lethal shotgun is deployed and the command to open fire is given. The suspect is pelted with bean-bags while officers advance on him. He is subdued and placed into custody and while officers recover the gun. He says he’s suicidal, but his attempt to goad police into doing his dirty work has been thwarted by the responding officers’ restraint. He makes a stop at the hospital before being transported to the detention center.
