Patrolman Matthew Brown – Amarillo Police Department
Patrolman Matthew Brown assists officers on an alarm call at a flea market. When he arrives he is informed there are multiple suspects inside burglarizing the place. Units surround the building and make entry with K9 units to search for the suspects who are now hiding in the flea market. The building is thoroughly searched and OC spray is deployed. The assailants are eventually sniffed out by K9 and placed into custody by surrounding officers. They are charged with burglary and assault on a peace officer.

  1. Prying off a dog from biting you should not be an offence. It's like pushing somebody away that has sunk his knife into you. How is that policeman even reasoning like that? Love the cops but a K-9 is a tool, it's not lawfully equal to a policeman. It's not allowed to vote or marry, don't get your mind clouded by feelings as a keeper of peace.

  2. Can I ask why American cops have became so overly violent and aggressive. That little Asian man is a petty thief, you could see the look of fear in his eyes, and he was terrified to get down, he almost broke his neck and lost his life over $1used bullshit at a flea market? Cmon! I am all for criminals being punished, but three cops aggressively detaining that man makes them look like cowards in my eyes.

  3. I really do respect law enforcement. I support all they do and I'm very grateful for the men and women in blue. However, I've always wanted to ask an officer one question. So, if there's any law enforcement on this thread, please enlighten me.
Why, when someone is complying and giving you no problems when they have been caught, do you guys still have to get rough with them? Like, this young man jumped the fence, and went straight to the ground. However, the officer still had to get on his back, push his knees into his upper back and neck area. I would think that, even though a person is in the wrong, if they ended up having a broken neck, dislocated shoulder(s), etc.,that they would be able to file a law suit against the police officer(s), the police department, and/or whomever else a lawyer says let's go after. I know there have been some cases where the criminal actually won his case do to the roughness he sustained during capture. It really erks me to see a criminal be able to get money from something when he was clearly breaking the law. He/she knew what could and would happen if they got caught. Anyways, like I said, I support the men and women, who are working daily to try and keep their communites safe, clean, and a wonderful place to live in, all around the world!!!

  4. Fight the dog at your own risk, but I say it’s a big mistake, unless you wanna end up like that poor sucker who was given Two charges instead of just one. Like officers said, it could have been avoided had those three surrendered right then and there
