  3. ☎️💣 ~ This bombthreat was handled so foolishly. What is more likely: a real bomb is a court house ~or~ a false alarm that is a setup for another reason? One other reason could be a gunman planning to shoot everyone as they come out of the courthouse? Perfect terrorist attack. Smh

I know this has happened in the 36th district court in Detroit. It just isn’t smart to operate like this anymore, especially after terrorist gunmen.

  4. I somehow missed this week’s Sidebar this week… but better late than never. Thank you Joshua and Charles for another informative and thought provoking podcast episode. 💗

  5. Does anyone know of a phone number for True Crime Daily?? I called the number that Chris Hansen puts up on the screen at the end of some episodes,, but it’s not in service or use. I would love nothing more than to actually speak to someone at True Crime Daily.

  6. In the Clancy case (mother suffering from postpartum psychosis killed her 3 children and tried to commit suicide afterward), this puzzles me.

I find it interesting that NOBODY points out the obvious. Why didn't he simply take the kids with him? Yes, it's a pain to pack them into the car. But I'm sure they needed a break from the pressure of living in isolation and with a mother not capable of caring for them in normal fashion every bit as much as he needed a break. He could have had his breather without the tragic consequences.

I made this point in a long response to someone else. But I wanted to make it a stand alone comment as well.

  7. Did anyone see the short clip from Murdaugh Murders Podcast and FITSNEWS of Alex's reaction to bomb threat when Jim Griffin told him? It's cringe. His smirk and slight smile is very telling.👹

  8. Ii would also like to add that this upsets me sooo much because we live in a country that can provide free narcan to drug addict who chooses to do what they do, and its provided to them over and over for free. But why did this mother not get the help she needed …..because her insurance she worked to have wouldnt pay for it. And she surley wasn't going to get it for free!

  9. I think its important to remember, this mother knew she needed, and wanted inpatient treatment, because she knew how sick she was, wasn't able to get this care because of the ridiculously expensive cost of this(which still just blows my mind) because insurance wouldnt cover the cost or enough of it to make it available to her.

  10. I go to LMU, and you can really tell he’s a professor lol 😂💗 we love taking a holistic look at situations and honestly, LMU profs are some of the kindest and most well-versed teachers I have come across. love this perspective being represented!

  11. Recall, this man is an admitted drug addict whose thinking is not sound. I think he resented Paul's drunken boat accident (which started this unraveling) & his wife's consultation with a divorce attorney (which further would expose Alex's fraud). The prosecution is not required to establish motive. The video clip from Paul's phone establishes Alex's presence MINUTES prior to the murders. It's a FACT that directly contradicts Alex's claim that he was napping. He did it. He murdered his youngest son & his wife.

  12. Maggie wanted to divorce Alex. And because of his financial frauds in the past she was the owner of the estate and everything else. While wanting to divorce him. There's a huge motive you two missed… Not just financial, but also his reputation. And if jury doesn't hear about it they won't see motive as well. It's not prejudice if it is a fact. And Alex lied about his alibi which was proven as well, he was at the scene of murders 3 minutes before they happened. Is this prejudice too? He lied about where he was at the time of the murders, but that does not mean he killed them? Like c'mon.

  13. Re: Alex's motive. We know that he had a 20 year long opioid addiction but no drugs in his system when tested. The day of the murders he had been confronted by his employer which included family members. His friend was pressuring Alex to return the money he had loaned to him. Alex's father was about to die and testimony was given that Alex and his father were very close, adding to the stress. The boat case was looming large on the horizon and Alex was named in the lawsuit because he owned to boat and permitted Paul to use it. Alex needed money badly. Maggie refused to let him use her property to secure yet another loan. There was only one path out of this pressure cooker. Opioid withdrawals were likely setting in and obscuring any clarity of thought he might have had. He called Maggie and Paul to come to Moselle. He might have tried to lure Buster there too but we don't know that but I think Buster was lucky he wasn't there or he might have met the same fate as Paul and Maggie. My theory is Alex did this because of the irrational thought processes he had and the desperate need to get Maggie's property. I don't think sympathy came into play although he had plenty of that after the murders. I think his goal was getting the property.

  14. He is ABSOLUTELY right. Since no one in this country cares about mental health things will only get worse. Its almost like the pigs in charge have done this on purpose to keep us distracted from them doing stuff like blowing up a pipeline.

  15. In the Clancy case , the husband stated he was NEVER told he should not leave his wife alone with their kids. Also it was stated she was not taking 12 different medications at once. They had tried different ones to help her. She was only ever taking 3 or 4 at the same time. She had been left alone with the children while the husband ran errands before …… I’ll be very interested to see how the trial goes. I do not think her husband did anything wrong.

  16. The audacity of this man to literally physically drive his family off the cliff, then pleads not guilty. Like a ghost drove your family, like a ghost possessed you and tried to kill your family. Ok bro cool story… 😑😑

  17. She sounds like an abusive wife no matter if it's verbal or physical she should be allowed to testify, she shouldn't want anything else to do with him even if she is scared to death that he will get out and do her harm. But ultimately it's up to her not anyone else.

  18. I don’t think looking up how long it would take for the husband to run the errand points to pre-meditation. I see it as an overwhelmed mom seeing how long will she need to care for the kids by herself. I check to see how long it is going to take my husband to get home all the time

  19. The prosecution in AM trial is tying the Mallory Beach lawsuit as the motive. The Friday after the murders was suppose to be a hearing where Alex was suppose to provide his financials to Beach lawyers. So with this lawsuit not only would have revealed financial crimes but they were seeking $10M that they didn’t have. First thing AM said to police when they arrived was that their deaths were due to boat crash retaliation. Killing Paul and Maggie caused this lawsuit to be dropped since public had sympathy for Murdaughs. It’s definitely a complicated case and it’s difficult to only bring in a few pieces of the puzzle and expect jury to see the whole picture
