In this episode of Crime Watch Daily Updates: Ana Carrillo was a daughter and a sister, but she was first and foremost known as being a doting mother. So when she didn’t pick up her kids one day in September 2017, everyone knew something was wrong.
Ana lived close to Grand Rapids in western Michigan and worked in a factory. She had three kids with her ex-boyfriend, Andrew Hudson, and the two dated on and off for several years. That summer, however, she reportedly pulled the plug and moved in with one of her friends.
On September 3, 2017, Ana was supposed to get the children from Andrew’s house, but she never showed up. Andrew went to Ana’s mom’s house to tell her Ana didn’t retrieve their kids, and Ana’s mom Birdie went to go search for her. Ana’s roommate also became concerned because Ana borrowed her car and promised to be back in 20 minutes.
Later that night, police found the car in a parking lot near Andrew’s house. Ana’s family and police went to talk to Andrew, and it resulted in lots of shouting between Andrew and Ana’s families.
Andrew had reportedly abused Ana while they were in a relationship and had been convicted twice.
About 12 hours after Ana disappeared, Andrew was seen burning some items in his backyard. He said it was waste, but police discovered he put clothes in the burn pile. Detectives obtained a search warrant for Andrew’s house and found blood in the basement, kitchen, and a bathroom.
Police arrested Andrew on suspicion of killing Ana, but he wasn’t the only one put behind bars. Andrew’s parents, as well as his dad’s common-law wife, were all taken into custody for perjury and other charges.
In November 2017, police found Ana’s body on a piece of land that Andrew’s mother owned. Ana reportedly died at Andrew’s home, but then her body was moved to the other property. Andrew confessed he stabbed Ana in the throat, killing her.
He pleaded guilty in December 2017 to second-degree murder and tampering with evidence. As part of the plea deal, prosecutors dropped the other charges against him and his family members.
In January 2018, a judge sentenced him to 40 to 100 years in prison for the death of Ana Carrillo. He will be eligible for parole when he is 79 years old.
Let’s look back at the case of a loving mother and her brutal death caused by her angry ex-boyfriend.
Ladies, if a man beats you, having a second or third child with him is not going to change him. NOTHING will change him. Please at least for the sake of your kids LEAVE. I know it’s not easy. It takes time, help, and planning. But for the time being for the love of God try to not have more children with him.

I can't see this going good with those people out and free. Someone is going to take them out. They should beg to be put in jail for their own safety. And what a horrible family, the entire family was involved except for the brother who stood up and did the right thing. Good on him. However, bet his family disowns him now. He doesn't know this but he is better off in this case.
What a cheap show. Its like watching some housewife gossiping with about as much veracity. There is no producer checking her claims. Without paying for studio time or even a camera operator I can't imagine she wastes money on researching anything she can't milk from the internet. She has zero experience in law enforcement, no law degree or even a night school criminology degree. It's like watching Fox Entertainment assuming they are not lying- or feeling like a Christian Scientist with Apendecitis!

how wrong that fekin eejit is. His accomplices will eventually either end up in prisons far away from his own, or they will cut deals and tell what REALLY happened.
My personal feeling is that, apart from the brother and SIL, who testified against feckin' control freak Andrew, his family was involved throughout. May have helped with the murder itself — absolutely helped with the aftermath. They left bro and SIL out of it because those two evidently had a more highly developed sense of "this ain't right" than the rest of feckin scumsucking Andrew's family. Maybe Bro and SIL thought all along that feckin' domineering wifebeating loser Andrew wasn't even halfway good enough for his wonderful, hardworking, nurturing ex. Maybe the rest of the family knew they couldn't count on Bro and SILnot to warn the intended victim, so feckin cabbage brain Andrew and fam left them out of the planning, execution, and cleanup altogether.
The family that WILL be truly close, the family whose bonds of love and whose genuine concern and caring for each other have only grown stronger through their ordeal and grief …well, the family that STAYS confronted the family that slays in the courtroom and everyone there could see which family will remain strong and which family is already falling apart.

Until his trial?? It hasn't been tried yet? These years until trials occur in many cases are NOT acceptable. Things need to change. No family should be in limbo after such a loss. They deserve justice and then to be able to grieve and process without it all hanging over them but that isn't what happens.
My prayers are with victim and family especially the children . Ladies do background checks this is sad and horrible.
