Police officers deal with some of the most dangerous and adrenaline-pumping situations while on duty. From high-speed chases to shootouts, seasoned law enforcement officer Ryan Tillman asks the question — how would ordinary civilians react in these situations? In this episode of Switched, civilians trade places with cops during a traffic stop where the suspect pulls a gun and opens fire at them.

  1. There's an old video on YouTube about a Phoenix anti-cop activist minister, who took the department up on its offer for him to participate in shoot – don't shoot scenarios. Changed his views radically.

  2. This is very educating and my cousin was a cop so now I know what she has to put up with or had to do under pressure 😮😵

  3. It's all fun n games until someone loses an eye. Was there an overwhelming desire to obtain ID? It looks like no acorns were dropped during the making of this farce.

  4. Participants are put through scenarios using simunition rounds, which mimic real-life situations with the potential for pain and injury. 😮

  5. Please, please, PLEASE stop calling the non-police officers "civilians". Unless you are military police, everyone–sworn police officer, noon-sworn employees, and citizenry–are ALL civilians. All the use of the 'civilian' does is push the over-militarization of police.

  6. Road pirates, enemies of humanity.

I wouldn’t be in that position. Because I wouldn’t be a government pawn extorting people for a living. Among other things.

  7. I actually participated in one of the episodes. It was a great experience and I’m so happy that this episode is on a big platform like law&crime network .

  8. 12:47 Props to the officer for accurately reenacting the scene. He managed to jam his sim gun, had to smack the mag, and rack it just like the perp did in the real video did. Lol
