  1. I don't think either of them were misunderstood. Their actions told the truth about them. She and her husband were abusing those children before she met Jodi so she can't claim being away from Jodi has cleared her head and ask for leniency in her sentence. She needs to serve every day of the maximum, as does Jodi.

  2. So Ruby called her husband Kevin who claimed he was oblivious to the abuse. I thought Kevin later said in his first interview that he hadn’t seen the kids in over a year, and that he basically said he financially supported his children like a father supposed too.Indicating that he was doing his fatherly duties.,suggesting this was supposed to be normal. I pray these children never are placed back with their father. Both parents evil.

  3. In my opinion, the reason she stayed quiet when she was arrested was because she was thinking it was all her kids fault as usual, and she was planning more ways to torture them once she was released.

  4. I think the boy had been told by his mother that the police would lock him up if he ran away but had decided that he might be better off! I think he expected the police to take him into custody not his mother, poor kids thinking the abuse was their fault.

  5. I saw pictures of the little boys wounds, and they were absolutely horrific. A lot worse than I expected, and I expected them to be bad. I don’t know how any parent could do this to their children. I don’t care whose influence they were under you’d still have to be some kind of sicko in the first place. And the father isn’t much better. If you haven’t watched his interrogation video check it out. Even when told what happened to his kids his first response was concern for his wife, not his children. Now he says that he wanted the long prison sentence for his wife and Jody Hildebrandt and he’s trying to get custody. And that his wife was controlling him “emotionally” because she knew how much he wanted the family together. But if he truly felt that way, then why did he cut off all contact with his children? Just because THEY told him to? His wife was more important to him than his kids were. And that was really obvious when he was speaking to police.

  6. Was the dialogue from whoever Jodi was talking to edited out? Not a word… Imagine having to listen to that narcissistic co-opting of scripture to elevate her crimes to something noble. I wonder if he just put the phone down and played Candy Crush until she was done.

  7. Hilderbrant claimed the abused child put the duct tape on himself. Thats not physically possible. She is a self serving fraud. The judge and prosecutor are right in the sentencing when they said ahe is a danger to society.

  8. It makes me so happy to hear her so angry. I hope the other ladies make her time in prison a hungry time. She's an evil sadistic control obsessed narcissist. She's furious anytime she doesn't get her way. When she was arrested and interrogated she was teeming, almost numb with furious rage.

  9. The mind is truly a creative thing. Jody Hildebrandt has rationalized in her mind that she is the victim and the kids have risen to punish her for her godly acts… Religion is the most messed up thing ever! Religious people are terrifying. Religion is terrifying. People should always hang onto their common sense. What an easy way to just make everything OK… just fine quotes in the Bible to support you.

  10. This is what happens when people give into the ideology of 'parental rights'. In my country we wouldn't just be talking about how the parents failed these kids, we'd talk about how the State failed them. There should have been social workers checking in on these people. When you hand all the power over to the parents and don't check up on them for fear of 'breaching their parental rights', you end up with cases like this one.
