Teen guns down ex-girlfriend, 2 others in jealous rage at party – Everything Law and Order Blog

In this episode of Crime Watch Daily Updates: The night of July 30, 2016, was supposed to be a fun reunion for high school friends to catch up with each other at a million-dollar home in the upscale neighborhood as they returned home from college on summer break. Anna Bui, Jake Long, Jordan Ebner, Will Kramer, and others gathered at a party when Allen Ivanov walked in with an AR-15 assault rifle and opened fire.

His main target was Anna Bui, his ex-girlfriend whom he still pined for even after they broke up. He was angry that she spent time with other men, so he decided to kill her with a gun he had bought just days prior in a jealous rage.

Allen claimed Anna was his “dream girl” and couldn’t handle that she looked to date other people. He even texted his friends as he skulked outside the party, saying he wanted “revenge” on Anna and that he hated her.

One of the victims, Jake Long, saw Allen hiding in the bushes and Allen opened fire, fatally wounding him. Allen shot Anna in the head twice and also killed Jordan Ebner. Will Kramer got shot in the back, but survived. Anna, Jake, and Jordan were 19 years old. Will was 18 at the time.

Allen was arrested hours after the party and booked for three counts of aggravated first-degree murder and two counts of attempted first-degree murder.

Then, in December 2016, just one day before prosecutors were set to decide on whether to seek the death penalty, Allen pleaded guilty to the charges. He was sentenced to life in prison in 2017.

In October 2018, Anna’s brother filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Allen, his parents, the party host’s parents, and the store where Allen bought the gun. The gun store and the party host’s parents were then dropped from the lawsuit.

Jake Long’s mother also filed a wrongful death suit against Allen and his parents in 2018. Both Anna’s brother reached a settlement in 2020 and Jake’s mom in 2019 for undisclosed amounts.

Now, let’s take a look back at the case that shattered a sleepy Seattle suburb.

  1. Wow! This is so beyond hearbreaking. He does not care one bit. Notice how he had no words for the FRIENDS? He killed? Ruthless, selfish, cold, EVIL CREEP!! He will never see freedom! His ex visits him in his dreams? No she would visit her loving parents! More lies! Her DAD BROKE MY HEART!

  2. This was in my hometown. I appreciate that she correctly pronounced Mukilteo – even Siri doesn’t do that. The night of this shooting was the worst night the town has ever experienced.

  3. I hate how ppl blame it on the weapon, saying I wish they hadn’t sold me the gun, if that gun wasn’t there I never would hav done it, or the knife, or whatever the weapon choice may be but that’s jus a bullshit excuse!!! That weapon is lifeless, it takes a person to give it life w/o that person that weapon does not kill!!
Can u imagine a weapon on its on getting on and killing or injuring ppl? Stop blaming the weapon and blame the person behind the weapon!!!

  4. These young people don't learn from their parents who gave birth to them. How can you say you love someone who is your dream girl and decide to kill her. How are parents training their children. Parents should train their children to confide in them when they are going through emotional challenge. Please USA, review your gun policy or law in your states. So what compelling reason did he give before buying the gun?

  5. Rang a friend to ask how to kill himself and he has an assault rifle. What? He had no intention of killing himself none what so ever. A spoilt, entitled, coward. He is disgusting.
❤to the victims and their families.

  6. Ok I remember this as I live in Washington. I live in a city that borders Seattle. In KING COUNTY.
I would like to point out Mukilteo WA is NOT a Seattle neighborhood. It's 30 mins NORTH of Seattle. In a COMPLETELY different COUNTY. In Mukilteo, Houses are on many golf courses, have views of the Puget Sound. The city is HOME to many "over privileged families". New money etc.

The kids at that party had NO IDEA what was happening. As the community they lived in was SO FAR AWAY from SEATTLE. Those kids had never experienced a "Seattle party" where shootings have occurred from time to time. It was so sad as it came on the TV as Breaking news. My heart instantly sank for the parents of the victims. No one should out live their children.. the worst part was the aftermath . As That kid was so insincere when he apologized. I am glad he is behind bars. The kid was so used to getting EVERYTHING he wanted…… How many kids do you know who could just go drop 1000 bucks like it was NOTHING? INSTANTLY you saw the breaking news and because of where this crime took place. You thought either this kid was bullied OR… just Spoiled, and out of touch with Reality. We soon found out that he was the second option. He couldn't handle being told NO by his Ex girlfriend.(let alone ANYONE else.) So basically, he threw a tantrum and killed a bunch of kids cutting their young lives short. 😔The murderer NEVER came across as remorseful. He almost had an arrogance about him. Like he Really thought, that he would just spend money 💰 to get out of his charges. HOWEVER, because his victims were ALSO children of wealthy parents. It Didnt matter about the MONEY his parents had. Lying, wasn't going to work out for him. . The ONLY remorse that kid has was GETTING CAUGHT. I am Certain that he is working on an appeal. (If it hasn't been submitted already) … My heart goes out to the victims family's and the victims.

  7. Parents need to teach their children that rejection is part of life and that they cannot make someone be with someone. Everything in life doesn’t always go your way. Just a tragic and horrible situation. He broke up with her and expected her to put her life on hold for him that’s a delusional and selfish expectation. He has never been held accountable for anything until that moment and it shows. He’s the type and has the type of parents Eminem raps about.💅

  8. sorry but social media has no time for dangerous teen breakup violence and a sharp uptick of these crimes over the last decade. Too busy banning political opponents and working with the Whitehouse to influence elections in their favor.
