  2. Did ad this to a volvo xc70 had to add coolant and sometimes would overheat. Did fix the system for 12000 Km but engine locked up after that. Left the stuff in the system so maybe the leak got bigger and dumped a lot in a cylinder or maybe some got in the oil and killed the engine… so it is good stuff to try but flush the rest out and change the oil.
    The car was not worth big fixes so it was a try and got some time out of it.

    Dude growing up around red necks here in atl Georgia (there no more red necks , just angry Lhezzbiens & bye-den voters) but yeah anyways, the good ole boys I grew up with always swore this was garbage! Only sneaky dirt bag used car lot guys would use it!!!
    Dude I’m kinda impressed , I have my 88civic wagon that’s blowing water so bad it’s misfiring in cylinder 2
    I might try this for fun before swapping out the block

  4. Used this on my fx35 with a crack in the head gasket, gonna replace the thermostat anyway so I left it in, drove it for an hour and no coolant leaks or overheating. K&W block seal for the win

  6. I've used bars leak on a mid 1990's Pontiac Grand Prix. At the time my collage aged "child" was driving it and ran it low on coolant due to crappy hoses that were used by the oem at the time. Anyway he casually mentions to me that the temperature light comes on. I check it out and we find in fact the car is overheating and after topping off with coolant it runs down and we need to add more, i.e. head gasket leak. At the time the car had 130,000 miles and was beat up, clearly not a candidate for an engine rebuild/replacement. It was summer and my son kept jugs of water in the trunk to top off the cooling system whenever the light came on. In anticipation of winter and the need to use antifreeze we decided to give Bars leak a try. It worked perfectly. We replaced the old oem hoses and got an additional 50,000 out of that car. When the time came we sold it for a fair price. Sam, I'd bet you'll get more than a few thousand miles out of your repair

  7. I don't know how the heater is plumbed on a Porsche, but I would look for any solenoid valves in that circuit or isolate it during the cycle.
    FYI, sodium silicate hardens with CO2.

  8. although it's been a log time since i've needed a block seal whenever i have needed one I always use KW block seal and it has never failed me. KW also required a full system flush to remove any anti-freeze, i know people who have tried using the anti-freeze compatible block seals and none of them worked. the last time i did use KW it was on a built SB LT1, i drove the car for years as my daily driver and even took it quarter miling multiple times without ever having a problem. the guy i sold the car too ran engine into the ground without it ever leaking again. one thing i will say is, i think the links you went to just to make sure no one knew the name of the seal you were using was pretty chickenshit, especially since the product worked for you because that means you didn't make this video to help others out, this video was only about helping you…..
