  1. Before I made my own keys I would Play Mech Arena in the dealer waiting lounge. Install Mech Arena for FREE here on Mobile and PC ✅ https://clik.cc/RDK4A and get a special starter pack to help kickstart your game!

  2. Dealer price gouges. Should be illegal. I was quoted around $800 for a programmed key. I bought an OEM key for $68 online. My mechanic programmed it for $40. This should be illegal. The scarry thing is they are trying to get rid of right to repair so your only option is the dealership. Not good at all. Prices will skyrocket.

  3. Does the fob tool work on the early vehicles with OBD.
I know when it was law the manufacturers had to put them in the weren't hooked up to a lot of things they should have.
    Or
Will it work on eny vehicle with central locking ?

  4. im a locksmith and I own that exact key cutter it works flawlessly. you just gotta know how to use it correctly. you gotta search the key blank name and place it correctly. I've had it for 3 years no problems.

  5. The key machine need the new drill bit I used to work at a locksmith after using the machine about 10 to 15 times to replace the bit to cut the key

  6. I had an issue where a dealer was asking $300 for a $3000 car key, so I looked around and found a used key-cutting machine from a company called Xhorse, which sells various types of keys and key cutter programmers. The machine I bought was a manual cutter, though Xhorse also sells automatic ones. I recommend the manual cutter. For $300, I was able to cut and make two pairs of keys. Additionally, the $200 machine has earned me more than $3000.

  7. I had a spare key cut and programmed at one of those little kiosks you see in shopping centers. However it was only key with a chip, no buttons (you have to put the key into the door and ignition) and it worked and still does 8 years on. It's good to know I have a back up. I believe it was a Spanish system and cost $50, cheap insurance.

  8. U don't need calibration for this mashine, some one install wrong drill bit or already used and dimension of bit is off

  9. Everyone else has mentioned, calibrate, or it could be a bad shaft encoder, or even a loose set screw allowing it to move.

  10. I feel sorry for these delusional people of 33 years with nothing to show for all those wasted years of no recognition yearned or any other development

  11. Amazon for a cheap fob – $15, good – $30-$40.
I have a local by here pay here dealer that has a cutter for the newer keys. Charges $30-$50 advertised.
GM vehicle fobs are easily programmed. (Replaced a few different vehicles..)
The mom and pop hardware stores here have the cutter and fobs, but they don't have a cutter for square blades.
Look around and check your vehicle's programming, can go about it that way. Usually not difficult.
I replaced my fob twice (I only have one key) with my own car by using the old key blade, took the original blade out of the old fob, put the blade in the ignition, used the old fob to program the new one. (Have to swap fobs to program, Only have one cut blade. My work around.)
If you have a fob that is dying, fix it soon, cheaper to diy than to have a locksmith come out when the fob is finally toast and you're stranded waiting.

  12. You should have started with a user manual and trying to understand how the machine works.
The reason for a preview is so you don't waste keys, and the parameters should've been adjusted upon inspection before you cut the key.
