After winning the bid on this Range Rover for just $700, we found out that the transmission was stuck in 3rd Gear. After a little searching we found the problem might not be that difficult to fix, but it wasn’t so cheap. Is it worth saving this cheap old Land Rover???

  1. Man I thought this deal Range Rover was good at $700 then I saw Prority Tire's Prices 😲: Get 5% off any tires and accessories on Priority Tire's site with the code 'PTSAMCRAC1223' and 10% off any Venom Power tires with the code 'VPSAMCRAC1223' until January 15th at: https://bit.ly/Samcrac_PriorityTire

  2. To all of the mechanics and tech service guys out there is it crazy to completely flush and change your transmission fluid every 25,000 miles?

  3. I would love for Toyota or Honda to buy Jeep and Range Rover car brands. That is when we would ALL be driving Jeeps and Range Rovers😂😂😂😂😂😂

  4. I bought a cheap manual tire charger that bolts to the floor. I have changed probably 50 tires with it. It is a little flimsy but if you have a welder you can beef it up easily. Best money I ever spent.

  5. I did same job on my 2009 Jaguar xf installed new transmission pan filter is built in used same transmission fluid to test car ran ok. Ended up draining and fill with zf lifeguard 6 transmission fluid XF now shifts like brand new. All around $650

  6. I think any SAFE vehicle you can get for a couple thousand dollars, that runs well, is worth it for someone. Same reason why I prefer not to sell my used SUV, it's worth far, far more to me than what the bluebook is ever going to say. I had a perfect condition, 140,000 mile convertible, blueboked at 3,000 and that's what I got. But really, that car was worth over 15,000 to me. Wish I never sold it.

  7. How is that a truck? range Rovers are one of the worst cars you can buy their plagued with problems all the time you couldn’t even give me that thing.

  8. No way I go with Chinese solenoids…even without the frequently returned warning from Amazon. Even if they initially worked (big if) you would be holding your breath until they inevitably failed.

  9. I only buy remanufactured when it’s all that’s available or when were talking about huge prices like $1k+ for oem

I’ve had nothing but problems every time I’ve gotten remanufactured parts too many times to waste time on em anymore if other options even if more expensive ones are available

  10. I had this gearbox in my 2006 ford falcon XR6 turbo.. and if you want a car that is fair dinkum bullshit fast get that one and the 6 speed auto box if wicked tough and changed so freaking smooth .. they use these cars as hwy patrol cars which mine was before I owned it .. they chipped it up a tad and it went like a shower of shit ..

  11. So many negative comments about Range Rovers …. wonder how many have owned one. Bought mine 2015 LWB Supercharged …. its got 76K miles on it ….. The only thing ever broken was the gear shifter knob electric module. JLR replaced it and gave me the loaner till it was fixed. My 2012 S-Class gave me nothing but trouble throughout the time I've owned it.

  12. A lot of negative comments on shops replacing transmissions. People gotta remember, that any shop that doesn't specialize in transmissions, will want to replace it, because they don't understand how it works. Most dealers dont even have a transmission specialist.
Nice video, but just a suggestion: tell people to use a torque wrench when installing the valve body. Very critical.

  13. Imagine being the dude that previously owned the truck and saying wtf! They said it was going to be way more expensive to repair that!

  14. Hey I ain't knocking the guys running a small business doing the tire thing like that for an emergency it's a perfect way to get a tire fixed you should have your tires balanced properly those mobile bouncers are not proper balancing of a tire it does not balance all sides of the tire there's a reason why the tire balancing machine cost so much at a tire shop because it balances the tire properly that's okay the way they did it for an emergency to get 50/60 Mi but you do not want to drive the entire life of the tire like that it will ruin the tire I'm only saying this because this is experience I'm a mechanic and I've seen what happens to the tires when they're not balanced properly and someone says well it's not shaking that bad you may not even feel it depending on the vehicle just because it has great suspension you will wear the tires out faster don't waste your money unless it's an emergency or on the side of the road then you can drive to the local tire center and get them balanced properly I'm not saying they did it wrong I'm just saying it's not the proper way to balance a tire but for an emergency it's perfectly fine for 50 to 60 MIles

  15. Tire replacement part of this video I've seen they've done before. Old Jack's at worked with a boot and a clip that went into the bumper. You could use the foot to break the bead of a tire.
