  1. There is NO reason why if you think or know you have a bad head gasket you not just try a cheap fix first. Even on Chris Fix's channel he used a cheap product on his pops Jag and he was able to get another year + out of the car and saved thousands of dollars for the new head gasket. So you never know, you might get lucky.

  2. WOW! That BMW was a great buy and I would love to own something like that one day. I just need to have the money to buy a car like this when it comes up. Extra money is NOT a strong point in my life right now. Maybe one day.,

  3. I love what you did to the Porsche… the engine out rebuild is way beyond the value of the vehicle so what you did to make it drivable is great… The worst thing is you can drive it for a while and then either pull the engine or part out the car.

  4. Gotta love Ford/Lincolns past decade Business Plan. Engineering motors they know full well are lucky to run 20 thousand miles before catastrophe. The poor Eco Boost and especially Power Stroke fans are true die hards. Sticking with Ford even after seeing the cab pulled off their new Lariat. Maybe that's what Ford Knew. Thier customer loyalty is that strong. I like my GM trucks because their issues generally don't leave me stranded. If a Chevy doesn't start, buy a Fuel pump. It's fixed.

  5. In order to get “dealer” plates you have to have successfully applied for a car dealer license. So I wonder what the name of his “dealer” is? The replaced the “shortblock” basically just the block, crank, pistons. The “rotating assembly” Things like heads, oil pan, and accessories are just swapped. A long block is the whole kit an caboodles minus accessories

  6. We have a 1986 VW Golf 1.8 (gas) that we purchased new. At about 80,000 miles it developed an internal coolant leak. We had no choice but to continue to drive it. One day the coolant overflow container ruptured. After that I tried a block sealer out of desperation. It held for almost 20,000 miles. Each time the coolant leak reared it's head I just sealed it again. The car has continued to run to nearly 300,000 miles with block sealing as part of our 20,000 mile service 😁😁. It's really just temporary, but it works. For less than $100 we've managed to get another 200,000 miles out what the VW dealership deemed a 'blown engine.'

  7. I don't know what it is,but I love escalades too! There's just something about the bulk and interior that just makes you want to own and drive one daily regardless of the gas lol

  8. I agree its a great time to buy a big SUV. I tried to explain that to my cousins in California, and they looked at me like I was from mars.

Buy EV when gas prices are cheap.
Buy a house when interest rates are high for an extended time.

  9. I was thinking the same thing Sam. We’re your 500 miles gentle or did you give it some beans? If they were gentle then maybe not surprised it held. If you hammer it a bit, I suspect the sealant will fail. Try it.

  10. I had an Audi S5 (4.2 V8, 6spd manual) that had the exact same issue, no leak, just showed a brake light and pedal went to the floor. I changed both the master cylinder and slave cylinder and it fixed the issue, hopefully that helps keep you from pulling the trans!
