GARDENA (CBSLA.com) — A carjacking suspect was shot and a kidnapping victim was rescued after a pursuit came to a dramatic end in Gardena.
The chase came to an end when officers were able to complete a pit maneuver on the stolen 2013 white Dodge truck near Broadway and Rosecrans avenues around 10 p.m. Tuesday.
Police shot the man when he began to stab a woman in his vehicle.
Paramedics transported the man and woman to a hospital for treatment of injuries. Both are expected to survive.
A preliminary investigation revealed the suspect kidnapped the woman and stole the truck from another couple in the 100 block of E. 102nd near Main Street.
The relationship between the suspect and victim remains unclear at this time.
Detectives recovered a large kitchen knife at the scene.
Incredible footage!
Onus, I see a lot of RVs parked on the street. Do a lot of people live in their RVs stealth in that area ?
I live in la lapd do not care
I don't see chase stuff here in Las Vegas
Dude, I love you. Keep the content coming!
Cool , you are in the ball.
Dam that was a badass ram ✔✔
Dude you need a girlfriend. People like you need somthing else better to do with their lives. Your that annoying fly bugging the police. Get laid virgin. Peace.
Doesn't look like the LAPD is very effective at administering first aid.
yeah great work…but be careful down there
that was my sister almost got stabbed to death by that low life.
cops should have reloaded & unloaded on that bastard. LAPD
good job pit maneuver & saving her life. Heroes… just next time keep shooting till he stops moving.
Thank you
You run from the cops what the fuck you'd expect endangering people's life's man fuck him !!! Got what's right !!!
Salute to you for being on it.. Stay safe out there
Niceee
Niceee
they have the supplies to render immediate aid….blood clotting powder, sterile cloth- even just putting pressure on the wound can save a life…but they are just standing there…looking at this man wiggle around. He is very clearly still alive in this video- did he die right there on the street? or in the hospital?
as always good job bro!
Hell yah! Nice job as always we wish you got a little closer! But I vote this one your Best of Year……. so far!
Nice catch Katman…. as you probably know by now the suspect had a knife in his hand and had just stabbed the female victim. Nice seeing ground coverage after watching the chopper footage!
Keep up the good work. ðŸ‘ðŸ»ðŸ‘ŒðŸ»
I personally believe they shot him because if they let him get away it would literally Make the department look like complete shit for letting someone get away and steal a car with all those crimes. they didn't want to be the ones responsible for responding then not arresting him. and have another open case in the hood. I guaranteed they could have chased him if they really wanted too. but shooting someone instead of running is easier anyways right? Some cops over react. these are those cops
great video 🎥
When you are ready to leave, you should scan the buildings for cameras. Are you going to do a FOIA for dash and body cams?
Great coverage. Shit is wild out your way.
Too bad the police weren't as good at providing basic first aid as they are at putting up yellow tape.
Why do they need to shoot to kill and why do they need to handcuff him and stand around staring, giving no aid. Do gunshot wounds not bleed?
Looks like they didn't shoot the bastard enough because his dumb ass was still moving.
You can stand at the yellow tape.
you're content is good i love watching these videos i love watching the law be put back in its place and not miss used but please make a outtro
