SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Authorities on Friday April 19- 2019 released 911 calls, traffic video and police body camera footage from the officer-involved critical incident that happened in South Salt Lake on April 8.
Harold Vincent Robinson, 37, of West Valley City, led officers on a pursuit down State Street on April 8 while firing shots as police pursued him down the busy road, police said. That came after police received multiple reports of shootings throughout downtown Salt Lake City. He was ultimately shot and killed by police after he crashed his pickup truck at 3339 S. State in South Salt Lake.
Kendrick said Robinson, of West Valley City, had previous convictions for crimes including simple assault, assault with substantial bodily injury, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a weapon illegally modified.
SLCPD got 65 calls to its dispatch center, with people reporting shots fired and describing an older model white pickup truck
Christina Judd, the Director of Public Relations for the Salt Lake City Police Department, said she doesn’t know how many bullets hit Robinson.
“As far as the active threat that we encountered in our city, our officers are trained to address the threat and stop it and that`s what they did,†Judd said.
Of those 15 officers, ten were with Salt Lake City Police and all of them had body cameras, but only three turned them on.
“Obviously, this was a very dynamic situation that evolved over a relatively short amount of time and when the internal affairs investigation goes through that, they weigh all the factors and determine if there was a policy violation,†Judd said.
It was a dynamic and dangerous county-wide scene that ended in less than 30 minutes with no injuries, other than the death of the suspect.
Fifteen total officers from South Lake and Unified police, as well as Utah Highway Patrol, were placed on paid administrative leave while West Valley City police review the officer-involved shooting.

G'z those cops sure didn't like that store awning ..
talk about overkill!
That was a bit much but he definitely needed stopping. There must of been well over 50 bullets flying that day, i just hope no innocent bystander got hurt through that immense hail of bullets. I hope the people he hurt are Okay now. Play stupid games with guns and this is what could happen to you.
18:30 the man on right…. " what's up? " ….🤣🤣🤣
That first woman was probably the most helpful caller I’ve ever heard. Surprisingly informed.
14:42 not sure if it was good idea for man from white van to run using drivers door.
That was like the blues brothers with that many cops following.
this makes me want to play GTA 5 so bad.
did he kill a cop ? it seemed that cops were just mag dumping for the sake of it ? totally unnecessary . 10 were put on Administrative leave ? haha
I've heard of a hail of gunfire. That was a fucking hurricane of gunfire.
Princess Alteration, "I was just dropping off a pair of pants to be hemmed." I'd like to have the commission on ammo sales for that department.
yeehar everyone empty their clips , wooo hooo
That truck got lit the fuck up!
17:59 either that was a bullet or a casing that bounced in front of the camera on ground there. Could be a rock too
bruh how is police still showing up lol
He got due process.
Why do you need to have 30 squad cars following the getaway driver ?????? LOL
How they didn't kill a bystander is mind boggling
Body cams should be higher with less wide angle, distorts everything in an unrealistic way
I do hope that nobody was working in that alterations shop at the take down….
And that's why we have an ammo shortage today, Little Johnny.
Looks like the SLC PD had some old surplus ammo to burn off
not going to lie at first I thought the place was called "priceless altercation" LOL 17:15
Suspect status: Swiss Cheese
I'd like to ask each officer , what exactly was it you were aiming at when you emptied your clip lol, it's like they forget bullets can deflect off hard objects lol
The cops were like: go up!!! Go up!!!! I want to get in on the funnnn!!! Bang! Bang!! Bang!!!
Well….136 cops and 405 rounds ought to do it!
Can we say overkill?!?! These dumb ass cops all the public in danger by unloading like that. Cops are getting g dumber and dumber
could you imagine the people in that building he ran into and all those bullets flying?holy!
Nice day at the firing range. Back when ammo was affordable.
JUST GONNA SEND IT>welp
