San Mateo, CA – San Mateo Police Department released more information regarding an officer involved shooting that occurred on Saturday, September 28, 2019, at 5:19 P.M. San Mateo Police Department officers were involved in a shooting in a cul de sac at the end of East Hillsdale Court following a short pursuit. As the suspect vehicle drove toward an oncoming police vehicle and then reversed toward an officer on foot, one officer discharged his service weapon. Two suspects were injured in the shooting and officers rendered medical aid on scene before the suspects were transported to a local trauma center for treatment.

I’m just here to see what all the untrained, non-law enforcement, inexperienced civilians have to say in this matter.
The first set of shots weren't needed since the officer wasn't even near harm. The rest for the backing up I could see being justified but still. Stay behind a perp in a vehicle trying to get away is the same as cornering an animal, it's gonna be dangerous and unpredictable so maintain distance since idk your pistol or rifle can easily reach the target without needing to be 2 feet on em while they operate a 2 thousand pound vehicle. Not anti cop, just anti retard, common sense is much needed. Watch alot of these shootings an honestly jumping in front of a moving vehicle doesn't seem smart. Jus gives the cop the right of passage(and his other officers) to shoot down whoever is in it.

I do not believe the police officers had the right to shoot that man in this video. The guy did not drive directly at anyone, nor did he have any sort of weapon besides the vehicle. IF he did actually drive “at†an officer, I can see justifiability. Not here, un-justified. It was most definitely hostile intent, yet it was not a hostile action.
