Seattle, Washington — On Tuesday, at about 3:20PM, Seattle police officers responded to several 911 calls reporting that a man was brandishing knives at the intersection of West Harrison Street and Elliott Avenue West. Callers further stated that the subject was chasing and threatening people. After a Taser deployment, two officers fired their service weapons, striking the man. Officers provided first aid to the subject until Seattle Fire Department Medics arrived. Medics pronounced the man deceased at the scene.

As a progressive who supports the sentiments of blm, I have nothing to really judge against the police in this video. WTH was Sam Harris' point in linking it? Thanks for doing your job well fellas. He actually had a knife. You didn't conveniently shout "gun gun gun!" when it was just a phone. Back up if unsure. If anything, I can say that psychologically, you should train in some positive spin to empathize and be less aggressive in your voice while telling him to get on the ground. Also some mindfulness training would do you a lot of good. Still, I have no expectations beyond what these officers did.
