Grass Valley police officers saved a man from jumping off a highway overpass. Officers were called an overpass along Highway 49 on Tuesday afternoon to talk to a man who was considering jumping. After a short conversation with officers, the man scaled the overpass fence in an attempt to jump. Officers were able to grab onto him and pull him to safety. “By reacting quickly, the officers were able to prevent a horrible tragedy and get the young man the crisis intervention services he needed. They also protected the motoring public from the possibility of serious traffic accident risks,” Grass Valley police said in a statement. No other details have been released.

  1. Who the FU** are these people who dislikes this video?! 😒😠
Cops saving people from commiting suicide, that's suppose to be a good thing!
    A**holes!

  2. So many merciless assholes here… His life is as important as the life of people driving cars under the bridge, get it!
It's nice that the cops at least cared for him, his life and problems

  3. This was great to see and a job well done! Unfortunately there are way too many officers who have no compassion, especially for those less fortunate, or those who are suffering from serious depression or other mental health issues.

  4. I commend the officers who stopped this young from hurting himself or God forbid killing himself plus causing a horrendous scene for the drivers below. I'm sure nobody does not want to see the after effects of a bloody suicide scene. I would not want to be on receiving end of having to tell parents and the families that a loved one has committed suicide. Suicide is serious mental health issue that needs to be addressed by everybody as a whole. It's very sad and unfortunate that people become so hopeless and enraged in pain that ending their lives is the answer. I sure hope this young man gets help and changes his life around.

  5. Two more bad cops that need to lose their jobs. I mean the nerve of them….harassing this guy and not letting him kill himself. They were way out of line.<———-turns sarcasm off

  6. I think people have the right to kill themselves but he could hurt or kill a driver jumping off that bridge. He doesn't have the right to do that.

  7. any person should be ready to do this. don't leave it to cops, only.
the earth is flat. water always seeks level.
