Why Do Cops Yell So Much? – Everything Law and Order Blog

“DO IT NOW” is a loud verbal command I learned to add on to phrases in the police academy like “Get on the ground…DO IT NOW!” I had some random thoughts come to me on this and involved my snapchatters to put this video together.

  1. I saw a video where they were practicing a felony traffic stop and the first command was" Shut off the engine and throw the keys out the window do it now " my wife's car has push button start and the keys are most of the time in the backseat in her purse so she would be shot immediately for either not complying or digging around in the car looking for her keys.

  2. I get the sense that the reason why you give commands in a more imperious way when dealing with suspects is the urgency and danger. The importance of quickly controlling a dangerous and unpredictable situation.

  3. I have severe hearing loss, if my back was turned and I’m listening to music which is Bluetoothed straight to my hearing aid, I wouldn’t hear any kind of yelling. I’d be just walking on my merry way, minding my business, and all of a sudden tackled, tasered or shot 😬, lol

  4. I liked the video when they messed up this older Black gentleman who is deaf(seriously, no B.S) in a traffic stop, like what is grandpa going to do to you?Yeah the use of common sense and good judgment on the officer's behalf wasn't used and that incident.

  5. What’s with the blue line flag Mike? You’d think you’d know better. It must be funnier than shit to make jokes with that desecration behind you. Great timing! Show us how come cops get away with crimes? Also tell us how many bad cop you turned in? I expect no answer.

  6. Thin blue line = terrorists of America. Too bad the good cops are being blackmailed into becoming bad cops… you're a disgrace to the country changing the color of the flag by adding a blue line… that is what we call a terrorist flag changing the image of American flag for your own terrorist gang. How many bad officers have you ever arrested… have you ever wrote a ticket on yourself knowing you did something wrong?

  7. That BS cops don't have to talk that way the first thing they need to do is listen to ppl everybody not a crook when someone disrespect you you going to come back at that person the same way

  8. Hey Mike, when officers yell out commands like get on the ground and the suspect moves very slowly, but does comply, why do the officers tackle him/her? If you were asking me, perhaps at gun/taser point, I would NOT MAKE ANY sudden move. I would comply very slowly so not to get tased or shot.

  9. These guys doing the meme videos for the most part don't seem to be yelling as loud trying to strike the fear of God into people like police can be seen doing while they are on duty.

  10. Nope definetly never reached the lawfull order/yelling stage with the police. I hate getting yelled at.
