Craziest Ways Police Stopped Suspects Caught on Dashcam
On February 27, 2024, a police unit stationed on Interstate 440 Eastbound near Exit Ramp #4 observed a black BMW 530i traveling at 73 mph in a 65 mph zone of police chases. The vehicle’s exhaust sounded modified and unusually loud. Shortly after passing the officer’s location, the BMW accelerated dramatically, its engine roaring and shifting gears rapidly of police chases. Given the rush hour conditions and the suspect’s erratic behavior, the officer initiated a traffic stop and began pursuing the vehicle. The suspect, reaching speeds estimated at 115 mph, weaved dangerously between lanes, showing no regard for other drivers’ safety of police chases. The chase continued as the suspect exited at Ramp #7 and sped onto U.S. Highway 165 toward North Little Rock, where it ran a red light and narrowly avoided collisions with bystander vehicles of police chases. Despite attempts to close the distance, the officers lost sight of the suspect in heavy traffic and were forced to terminate the pursuit to ensure public safety of police chases.
