The Albuquerque Police Department Metropolitan Forensic Science Center (APD Crime Lab) opened its doors to Fire and Police Videos to come in and take a behind the scenes look at the Evidence Unit.

The Evidence Unit is responsible for picking up evidence from local substations within Bernalillo County then handling, processing and storing that evidence until then case is resolved.

The APD Crime Lab Evidence Unit is responsible for the destruction of both guns, drugs and ammo.

Mayor Richard J. Berry and the City of Albuquerque are pleased to announce the creation of an exciting course offered to the community entitled “Introduction to APD CSI.” http://www.cabq.gov/police/programs/csi-academy

  1. I was here for a field trip when I was I junior in high school. One of the most memorable moments in my life I remember being in complete awe about all the awesome vaults and warehouses we got escorted thru. I fell completely in love with this place.
