Houston, Texas — On April 14, 2024, at approximately 3:00 p.m., a Harris County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant observed a vehicle on the roadway with an expired registration and a broken tail light lens in the 1000 block of FM 1960 Road West. The sergeant conducted a traffic stop and asked the driver to provide his identification. The sergeant learned the driver, identified as 41-year-old Patrick Hurst, had several outstanding warrants. The sergeant told the now known suspect, Hurst to step out of his vehicle. Hurst refused to exit the vehicle. Additional deputies arrived to the scene. The sergeant and deputies spoke with Hurst attempting to convince him to exit the vehicle, but he refused.

Hurst then fled from the traffic stop, and a vehicle pursuit began. Deputies conducted a Precision Immobilization Technique also known as a PIT maneuver, to end the pursuit safely. After his vehicle was disabled, Hurst exited the vehicle, attempted to flee on foot, produced a pistol and fired several shots at the deputies. The sergeant and three deputies returned fire, striking Hurst multiple times. The deputies requested EMS to respond to provide medical assistance. Hurst was pronounced deceased at the scene. Deputies recovered a loaded .25 caliber pistol next to Hurst. An uninvolved bystander was shot during the exchange of gunfire. The bystander was transported to an area hospital and survived her injuries.

  2. 3:40 – Dude. SMH they just reinforced the craziness of Slobberin Citizen. They will claim "because the dood was a slobberin citizen, that when the officer learned of this so-called "constitutionalist, that officer on the right continued to fire". Jackboots is how they will quote them. not good.

  3. I have an interesting thought/question……….
Do you think when “sovereign citizens” die, and in the rare case they make it to heaven, do you think they still refuse to identify themselves at the “pearly gates?” 🤔

    😆😂🤣

  4. His demeanor was sounding off alarm bells. Not something you would tolerate in Australia, let alone America where he is likely armed.

  5. Couldn't have asked for a more polite officer.
LOL, you can just see how sick and tired cops are of these dumbasses. Takes off in the car and the supervisors just have their hands folded and walking slowly away.

  6. The guy wasn't able to put an end to his miserable existence so he decided to drive about in a car with expired tags and a brake light not working in the hope that a cop would stop him and that would escalate into a shootout where his life would be terminated.

  7. Imagine getting into a running gunfight in Slides of all things…no wonder he fell and they polished him off.

  8. lol, what a nut job. 1) Initiating a gun fight with officers. 2) Initiating a gun fight with armored officers with a dinky little .25 caliber pistol that can't even penetrate a tee shirt past 12 feet.

  9. I don't get why they chased him, Houston itself is already a prison, so why arrest him. Just tell him he can't leave Houston 😂

  10. Houston is a pro criminal city, I have seen people get out on bond for murder, then kill someone else 3 weeks later.
The judges are never held responsible.

  11. Bad area, I got robbed here a 2 months ago on a work trip. Couldn't get 1 cop to show up called 911 several times

  12. @OP: in this case, I would avoid using a split screen. It is hard to watch the left and the right side at the same time.

  13. The sovereign citizens seem to love the benefits of the government when it's convenient for them. Paved roads, orderly traffic laws, 911 emergency line, etc. but as soon as those come with responsibilities, 'nah-uh I'm a slippery alien not bound by earthling matters.' But police-issue bullets do not care about the political ideals of their targets.

  14. It's always refreshing seeing a civilian in one of these videos with some common sense…..in this one, that bus driver "noped" right the hell out of there!
