A fundamental rule of not getting arrested is to stay invisible to the police. When the police can’t see you, there is nothing to catch their attention. Even the best officers can’t see incongruities when they can’t see anything. How to stay invisible? Well, for most people their ‘most invisible’ place is inside their own home.

The above advice comes from Dale Carson, author of “Arrest-Proof Yourself,” defense attorney in Jacksonville, and former peace officer with the Miami-Dade Police Department and FBI. Carson extends his “stay invisible” rule to provide practical advice: if you plan on doing something illegal the best place to do eit is at home — where you are not going to stand out.

Now, why dot I bring this up here? To highlight an exception this video makes apparent: the rule doesn’t quite work if you live in your car.

  1. FWIW, I do wish life was better for this lad. He has an outstanding warrant and that ties the officers hands. The stop can mean that everything he owns will be inventoried. Even without the warrant, this guy earned a citation. Life is very hard for some people and living in a vehicle is one step above homeless street living. This may put him in the position of living on the streets. Not exactly an exciting video, but the verbal exchange is pretty interesting. Thanks for the video.

  2. The driver knew his license was suspended when he got in the car. Then he says “they can’t convict me if I don’t show up in court.” Brilliant.

  3. Why are they stalling?
    Warrant is secondary.
    Suspended licence.
    Then more warrants!
    So waiting for what?
    Tell hm to walk away?
    Ignorant procedure.

  4. Does anyone else see this shadow at 23:40 It passes from the front of the semi, turn down and over the grass median to then continue down the road…. It gave me chills. I'm not speculating anything, just something I noticed.

  5. this cop seems like a bit of a jerk. I get why he pulled him over and having to check for the warrants. But he seems to have no interest in being empathetic. Hopefully his career will be short.

  6. Thank you officer for getting that dangerous driver off the road. The driver has got to figure out how to do take care of himself without putting so many people in danger.

  7. He sounds like and drove like he’s under the influence! They should have called K-9 out to search the car! Really surprised they didn’t!!
